    Company Information

    Company Name: Nedap

    Company Website: https://www.nedap.com/

Nedap N.V. is a well-established Dutch technology company with a long history dating back to its founding in 1929, when it began as a manufacturer of electrical and electronic equipment in the Netherlands under the name Nederlandse Apparatenfabriek. Over the decades, Nedap evolved from a traditional hardware producer into a global technology group that specializes in the design, development, and deployment of software-enabled hardware solutions. The company is publicly listed on Euronext Amsterdam under the ticker NEDAP, reflecting its status as a mature, publicly traded technology player with a diversified product portfolio and a global customer base. Nedap’s business model centers on integrating hardware, software, and services to deliver end-to-end solutions that help organizations automate processes, improve data capture and analytics, enhance security, and optimize operational efficiency. The company emphasizes a long-term, technology-driven approach to solving real-world problems by combining physical devices with cloud-based software platforms and data-driven decision support tools. Nedap’s strategy is anchored in staying close to customer needs, investing in research and development, and delivering scalable solutions that can be integrated into existing workflows while enabling future adaptability. At its core, Nedap operates through a portfolio of business units that, while distinct in purpose, share a common focus on identification, data capture, and intelligent automation. The company’s product and solution families span four principal domains, each built around the idea of turning data into actionable insights and tangible improvements in operations. The first domain centers on Nedap Retail, a family of retail technology solutions designed to help retailers manage inventory, optimize store operations, and enhance the omnichannel consumer experience. Nedap Retail products leverage advanced technologies, including identification and data capture capabilities, to provide retailers with real-time visibility into stock levels, product movement, and store performance. By enabling accurate inventory management and seamless store operations, Nedap Retail supports retailers in reducing shrinkage, improving in-store execution, and delivering a more consistent customer experience across channels. A second major domain is Nedap ID, which encompasses identification and authentication technologies used to secure assets, facilities, and people. Nedap ID combines hardware, software, and analytics to enable reliable identification and access control across a range of environments. The capabilities of Nedap ID extend beyond traditional security use cases to include asset tagging, tracking, and visibility solutions that help organizations monitor and manage their physical and digital assets more effectively. This domain reflects Nedap’s broader emphasis on data capture and traceability as essential components of modern operational excellence. The third domain is Nedap Healthcare, a portfolio that focuses on improving patient flow, privacy-conscious data management, and care delivery in hospital and care facility settings. Nedap Healthcare solutions are designed to help healthcare providers optimize patient journeys, secure sensitive information, and ensure compliant data handling while maintaining high standards of patient safety and care quality. The healthcare solutions draw on Nedap’s expertise in hardware-software integration and data-driven workflows to streamline administrative processes, reduce waiting times, and support clinical decision-making with timely, accurate information. The fourth domain, Nedap Livestock Management, reflects the company’s footprint in the agricultural sector, where identification, monitoring, and analytics play critical roles in herd health, welfare, and productivity. Nedap Livestock Management employs RFID tagging and sensor-enabled devices to monitor individual animals, track movements, measure weight and condition, and collect environmental data. The resulting data is consolidated in cloud-based platforms that enable farmers and veterinarians to monitor herd performance, detect early signs of illness, optimize feeding strategies, and make informed decisions about breeding and herd management. This domain highlights Nedap’s commitment to applying technology to the agricultural sector, where precise data collection and real-time insights can have a substantial impact on productivity, animal welfare, and sustainability. Across these domains, Nedap emphasizes the seamless integration of hardware and software to deliver end-to-end solutions rather than standalone products. The company’s solutions are characterized by modular design, interoperability, and scalability, enabling customers to start with a targeted use case and expand to broader implementations over time. Nurturing long-standing customer partnerships is a hallmark of Nedap’s business model, with the company often engaging in close collaboration with clients to map out requirements, tailor configurations, and provide ongoing support, maintenance, and updates as technology evolves and business needs change. Nedap has cultivated a global footprint through a combination of direct sales, partnerships, and a network of technology and systems integrators. By combining global reach with local delivery capabilities, the company aims to serve a diverse set of industries and regions, delivering solutions that align with regional regulations, market dynamics, and customer preferences. The company’s research and development activities underscore a commitment to innovation, with continued investment in new sensors, data analytics, cloud platforms, and user-friendly interfaces that simplify complex processes and deliver measurable business value. From a governance and market perspective, Nedap operates as a publicly traded company with a clear focus on long-term value creation. Its corporate structure supports a lean but highly capable organization that emphasizes engineering excellence, customer-centric service, and responsible business practices. Nedap’s solutions are deployed by retailers seeking smarter inventory management, security-conscious facilities managers, healthcare providers aiming to improve patient experiences, and farmers looking to improve herd management and sustainability. The company’s product philosophy — integrating hardware with software to create intelligent systems that persistently collect, interpret, and act on data — positions Nedap as a credible, technology-forward player in multiple advanced industry domains. In summary, Nedap N.V. stands as a venerable and credible technology company with roots that reach back to the early days of electronics manufacturing in the Netherlands. Today, it operates as a modern, diversified technology group focused on intelligent identification, asset management, and data-driven automation across retail, security, healthcare, and agriculture. Its four primary domains—Nedap Retail, Nedap ID, Nedap Healthcare, and Nedap Livestock Management—illustrate a coherent strategy of combining hardware and software to deliver scalable, interoperable solutions that help organizations improve accuracy, efficiency, and outcomes in complex operational environments. As a listed company with a long-standing track record, Nedap continues to evolve by investing in research and development, strengthening partnerships with customers and ecosystem partners, and expanding its global reach while maintaining a clear focus on practical, impact-driven technology solutions.
