I learned a lot of new skills, discovered new passions, such as graphic design, did research that has provided me with valuable knowledge about the employment market in the Dutch cultural industry and how the cultural industry works in the Netherlands, and also offered me an amazing environment where I could develop myself both personally and professionally. A lovely team that put in all their efforts to accommodate and integrate me into the Dutch working field and into their company as an international and non-Dutch speaker - something I will forever be grateful for.

Company Address: N/A

Cultuurmarketing is a Netherlands-rooted company that positions itself as a specialist provider of digital marketing, web development and audience-development services tailored to organizations in the cultural sector. The organization presents a combination of consultancy and hands-on technical delivery aimed at helping museums, theatres, festivals, cultural funders and related institutions increase visibility, grow audiences, improve ticketing and membership conversion, and use data more effectively to guide programming and outreach. Company overview Cultuurmarketing operates as a specialist digital agency/consultancy focused on marketing and digital-product work for cultural institutions. Its public-facing materials emphasize a sector-specific approach: combining cultural-sector expertise with technical capabilities in web platforms, CRM and analytics. The company’s positioning highlights experience in the workflows and commercial models common to cultural organizations, including event- and program-based ticketing, membership and donor communications, fundraising campaigns, and audience segmentation for diverse cultural audiences. Core business activities Cultuurmarketing’s primary activities include strategic consulting for cultural marketing, technical implementation of web and digital tools, and ongoing operational services to support audience development. Key consulting work involves audience research and segmentation, digital strategy and campaign planning, conversion-rate optimization for ticketing and membership sign-ups, and advisory services on integrating digital channels (email, social, web) with box-office and CRM systems. On the technical side the company offers web design and development, CMS implementation and customization (often for content-heavy cultural sites), integrations with third-party ticketing and payment platforms, CRM setup and data-migration services, and analytics instrumentation to measure marketing effectiveness. Main products and services - Website and digital platform development: Cultuurmarketing builds and customizes websites and web platforms designed to showcase programming, facilitate ticket sales or bookings, and present editorial content. These projects typically include responsive UX/UI design, content-structure guidance for program calendars, and technical integrations with event and ticketing systems. - CRM and database services: Services include selection, configuration and integration of CRM platforms to manage patron records, memberships, donations and event attendee data. The company supports data-imports, segment creation, automation of membership renewals, and bespoke reporting to support fundraising and audience development workflows. - Ticketing and payments integration: Cultuurmarketing works to connect organizations’ websites with ticketing providers and payment gateways, aiming to streamline checkout flows, centralize order data and improve conversion for events, subscriptions and memberships. - Digital marketing and campaign execution: The company plans and executes multi-channel marketing campaigns, including email marketing, paid social and search advertising, organic social strategy, and content marketing. Campaign activities typically focus on driving ticket sales, event awareness, membership growth and donor engagement. - Analytics, measurement and data-driven optimization: Cultuurmarketing implements analytics tooling and reporting dashboards to track audience behavior, campaign performance and conversion pathways. They provide insights and A/B testing recommendations to improve sales funnels and newsletter sign-up flows and advise on attribution between marketing channels. - Training and capacity building: The firm offers training workshops and coaching for in-house cultural marketing teams on topics such as digital communications, CRM best practices, audience development, and use of analytics to inform programming and marketing choices. - Ongoing support and managed services: For clients who need continued technical support, marketing operations or campaign management, Cultuurmarketing offers retainer-based services to maintain websites, run email campaigns, manage social channels, and provide periodic reporting. Typical clients and sector focus Cultuurmarketing primarily targets the cultural and creative sectors: museums, galleries, performing-arts organizations, festivals, cultural centers and arts councils. The company designs services and technical solutions to meet the distinct needs of organizations that run episodic programming, seasonal campaigns, and membership/donor models rather than purely e-commerce oriented businesses. Approach and differentiators From its public materials, Cultuurmarketing emphasizes a combined approach of sector knowledge and technical delivery: understanding the programming and audience dynamics unique to cultural institutions, while implementing practical digital systems that reduce friction in discovery and purchase. The firm highlights its experience with multi-channel marketing campaigns, ticketing integrations and analytics-driven improvements as its primary differentiators. It positions itself as a partner for both short-term projects (site builds, campaign setup) and longer-term audience-development programs and managed services. Geographic reach and delivery model Cultuurmarketing presents itself as serving clients primarily in the Netherlands and nearby European markets, working with small-to-medium cultural institutions as well as larger regional organizations. Its delivery model typically combines remote consultancy and development work with on-site workshops and stakeholder sessions when appropriate. Public-facing outputs and evidence of work Public case descriptions and service pages (as presented on the company’s website and client materials) focus on concrete outcomes such as increases in ticket-sales conversion, higher newsletter sign-ups, improved membership renewals, and clearer donor communication flows. The company also highlights collaborative projects that required integration between content platforms, ticketing systems and CRM tooling. Limitations of this summary This overview synthesizes the company’s publicly stated services and sector focus as presented in its corporate and marketing materials. Specific technology stacks, partner-ticketing platforms, client lists, and founder or leadership details are not included here; these are typically available through the company’s official website and published case studies for readers seeking additional verification and contact points.
