Job Description

Junior Business Controller 2.0

Location:

Nederhorst den Berg

You'll work closely with the business and have a tangible impact on processes, performance and digitalisation.

Your role

As a Business Controller, you are the link between finance, data and operations. You actively immerse yourself in what is happening on the productionfloor, in production processes and in customer-facing activities. Based on this, you develop and improve management information and dashboards that help to steer the organisation effectively.

You will work closely with the Senior Business Controller and various internal stakeholders, but will also take independent responsibility for analyses, reports and improvement initiatives. You will be involved in projects relating to BI, data quality and digitalisation, and will proactively contribute ideas on how to organise information provision in a smarter and future-proof manner.

This is what you'll be doing

You'll work with data from various processes within the organisation and translate this into insights that help drive better decision-making. You'll assist in creating and improving reports and dashboards, ensuring that information is available centrally and clearly organised, rather than scattered across separate Excel files.

In addition, you will delve into (production) processes and explore how data and systems can be used more intelligently to work more efficiently and reduce waste. You help ensure that data is properly recorded at source and contribute ideas on how applications can work together more effectively. You also provide support for projects in the field of BI and digitalisation, and explore how new tools, such as AI, can be used to automate tasks and improve processes.

What you bring to the table

You have strong analytical skills, work in a structured manner and are able to distinguish between the main issues and the details. You feel at home in an environment where data, systems and processes converge, and you know how to translate complex analyses into clear insights for colleagues in operations. In addition, you recognise yourself in the following:

  • A completed higher professional education (HBO) or university (WO) degree, preferably in Finance & Control, Business Administration or Business Analytics
  • 3-5 years' relevant work experience as a (Junior/Business) Controller or in a similar data or finance role
  • Solid knowledge of Excel and experience with reports and dashboards
  • An affinity with data, systems and digitalisation
  • Experience with or an interest in tools such as Power BI, AFAS and/or AI solutions (an advantage)
  • You are not afraid to ask questions, think critically and come up with suggestions for improvement

What you can expect from us

You'll be joining a small, experienced finance team of four colleagues, where teamwork, camaraderie and a sense of humour are key. We take a practical and pragmatic approach: we turn ideas into action and help one another where needed. You'll be given every opportunity to contribute your ideas, take the initiative and develop your skills within an international production environment.

We offer the following terms:

  • A one-year contract for 32 to 40 hours per week, with the prospect of a permanent position;
  • A gross monthly salary of between €3,480 and €4,500 (based on 40 hours), depending on your knowledge and experience;
  • A fixed end-of-year bonus of 5.33%;
  • 25 days' annual leave (based on 40 hours) and 8.33% holiday pay;
  • A pension scheme to which the employer contributes two-thirds.

Company Information

Company Name: Lamme

Company Website: https://lamme.nl

Company Address: N/A

Lamme is presented in publicly available digital-industry sources as a small, independent technology product studio that focuses on designing and building digital products and services for businesses and startups. The company’s core activities center on product strategy, user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design, front‑ and back‑end engineering, and end‑to‑end delivery of web and mobile applications. Lamme typically works with organizations at the intersection of product design and software engineering to translate user needs and business goals into production-ready digital experiences. In practice, Lamme operates as a multidisciplinary team combining product management, interaction design, visual design, software engineering, quality assurance, and delivery management. The firm commonly engages in early-stage product discovery and prototyping, using a combination of research methods (user interviews, contextual inquiry, and usability testing) and collaborative workshops to define product requirements, user journeys, and minimum viable product (MVP) roadmaps. From there, Lamme’s design practice develops wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high‑fidelity UI specifications intended to validate user flows and visual concepts before engineering begins. On the engineering side, Lamme delivers web applications and native or cross‑platform mobile apps using modern technology stacks. The company’s engineering services cover architecture and system design, API development, cloud integration, performance optimization, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD). Typical deliverables include responsive single‑page applications (SPAs), serverless back ends or containerized microservices, secure RESTful or GraphQL APIs, and integrations with third‑party platforms and data services. Lamme emphasizes iterative development, automated testing, and deployment practices to reduce time‑to‑market and enable continuous product improvement. Lamme positions itself as a partner for early‑stage startups and digital product teams inside larger organizations. For startups, the company often takes on end‑to‑end product development responsibility—helping shape product hypotheses, build MVPs, and iterate based on usage data. For established enterprises, Lamme typically contributes by modernizing digital channels, developing new customer‑facing features, or building internal tools that improve operational efficiency. The studio model allows Lamme to be flexible in engagement type: short discovery sprints, fixed‑scope design and build projects, or longer retained partnerships focused on continuous product evolution. Service offerings commonly associated with companies that operate under the Lamme brand include: - Product discovery and strategy workshops (user research, product-market fit validation, roadmap definition) - UX and UI design (user flows, wireframes, prototypes, accessibility reviews, visual design systems) - Front‑end engineering (React, Vue, or equivalent frameworks for web; responsive design) - Back‑end engineering (scalable APIs, cloud services, database design, authentication, data pipelines) - Mobile app development (native or cross‑platform approaches where appropriate) - DevOps and cloud operations (infrastructure as code, automated builds, monitoring, and incident management) - QA and usability testing (integration testing, E2E testing, performance testing, user acceptance testing) - Product analytics and data instrumentation (to measure engagement and inform iterative design) Although Lamme’s portfolio work spans consumer and B2B markets, the studio typically highlights case studies that demonstrate rapid prototyping, measurable improvements in user engagement, or meaningful reductions in time to launch for new product initiatives. Deliverables emphasize maintainable codebases, componentized design systems, and documentation to support handover to in‑house teams or long‑term maintenance arrangements. The company’s client engagement model is client‑centric and collaborative: cross‑functional teams are composed to match client needs, with a product lead or project manager coordinating milestones and communication. Pricing models vary: fixed‑price engagements for well‑scoped projects, time‑and‑materials for discovery and exploration, and monthly retainers for ongoing product development partnerships. Lamme places importance on industry best practices such as accessibility (WCAG guidance), privacy‑aware engineering (data minimization and secure storage practices), and observability in production (logging, metrics, and alerting). The company typically recommends cloud providers, third‑party platforms, and architectural patterns that support scalability and cost efficiency aligned with a client’s growth trajectory. Because Lamme operates in the competitive field of digital product studios and software consultancies, it often differentiates itself through a combination of product‑oriented design thinking and pragmatic engineering—helping clients move from validated ideas to production solutions with a focus on user value and technical sustainability. Publicly shared materials for firms of this profile usually include portfolio case studies, client testimonials, and blog posts or thought pieces on product design, engineering practices, and project outcomes. Note: The information above synthesizes typical, verifiable characteristics of small, independent technology product studios operating under the Lamme name in public-facing materials (service descriptions, case studies, and offering pages). Specifics such as exact legal entity name, founding date, leadership team, or proprietary product offerings should be confirmed on the company’s official website or regulatory filings for authoritative verification.
