Company Information

Company Name: Chainable

Company Website: https://chainable.ai

Company Address: N/A

Chainable is a technology company that develops a platform for building, orchestrating, and deploying composable automation and API-based workflows. The company positions itself as a middleware and developer-focused tooling provider that enables engineering teams, product builders, and data practitioners to chain together APIs, services, and machine learning models into reusable, maintainable pipelines. Chainable’s public materials describe the offering as a blend of a low-code/no-code orchestration studio and a developer-grade runtime and SDK set that together simplify the construction of multi-step, conditionally executed workflows that span third-party services and internal endpoints. Company overview and core activities At its core, Chainable provides a hosted orchestration environment and local developer tools that let teams design, test, and run “chains” of operations. These chains are defined as ordered, conditional steps combining HTTP APIs, pre-built connectors, custom code snippets, and optionally AI/ML model invocations. Chainable emphasizes the ability to compose small, focused operations into larger application behaviors without the overhead of building bespoke integration layers for each new use case. The platform targets use cases such as data enrichment and transformation, automated business processes, webhook handling, API composition for frontend applications, and the operationalization of multi-model AI workflows. Main products and services Chainable’s primary product offering is an orchestration studio (often referenced in public product descriptions as a visual editor or flow builder) that enables users to create chains using drag-and-drop building blocks or a code-first editor for advanced logic. The studio typically includes features for step-level configuration, conditional branching, retries and error handling, secret management for credentials, and built-in logging and observability to trace execution flows. Complementing the visual studio, Chainable provides a runtime service that executes chains in a scalable, managed environment and exposes an API for triggering chains programmatically (e.g., via REST endpoints, webhooks, or event-driven invocations). To support developers, Chainable publishes SDKs and CLI tooling that allow teams to author and test chains locally, integrate chain execution into CI/CD pipelines, and deploy chains to the managed runtime. The platform also offers a library of pre-built connectors to common SaaS products and public APIs (for payments, CRM, e-commerce, messaging, and analytics), along with generic HTTP and database connectors to enable integration with internal systems. For organizations building AI-driven experiences, Chainable documents integrations with language models and inference endpoints, enabling chains to incorporate model calls as discrete steps and to coordinate multi-model logic. Target customers and use cases Chainable’s materials indicate the platform is aimed at engineering teams, backend and full-stack developers, platform engineers, and technical product teams who need to accelerate integration and workflow automation without sacrificing version control, testing, or observability. Typical customers use Chainable to: rapidly compose backend APIs by aggregating multiple services behind a single endpoint; automate cross-system business processes (for example, lead enrichment + CRM update + notification); orchestrate model inference steps in AI applications where calls to multiple models and data transformation are required; and handle webhook routing and transformation at scale. Because the platform emphasizes both a visual builder and code-friendly tooling, it intends to serve organizations that want to empower non-developer users with guarded automation while retaining developer governance. Platform capabilities and technical approach Chainable’s platform is described as combining a declarative representation of chains (for versioning and reproducibility) with an execution runtime that enforces configured controls like concurrency limits, retries, and timeouts. Observability is a focus: chain execution logs, step-level diagnostics, and debugging tools are provided to help teams diagnose failures and trace data as it flows between steps. Security features commonly highlighted in public descriptions include encrypted secret storage for credentials, role-based access controls for team collaboration, and audit logs for governance. The company emphasizes extensibility through custom code steps or serverless function integration, allowing organizations to run bespoke logic where pre-built blocks are insufficient. SDKs and a CLI allow chains to be defined as code, stored in source control, and deployed through CI/CD workflows to support production-grade development practices. Business model and service tiers Chainable offers its platform using a SaaS model with usage-based or tiered pricing. Typical published tiers include a free or developer tier for experimentation with limited runtime usage and connectors, a team tier for production usage with increased limits and collaboration features, and enterprise offerings that include dedicated support, custom SLAs, and additional security or compliance capabilities. Enterprise packages commonly advertise account management, private connectivity options, and contractual commitments for uptime and support response times. Partnerships, ecosystem, and developer community Public-facing material from Chainable highlights a library of connectors and an extensible ecosystem intended to reduce integration friction. The company positions itself in an ecosystem alongside API gateways, integration-platform-as-a-service (iPaaS) providers, and workflow automation tools, with a differentiator being its orientation toward developer ergonomics (code + visual tooling) and support for AI model orchestration. Operational considerations and compliance Chainable’s documentation addresses typical operational needs such as secure secret management, data residency considerations (for paid plans or enterprise customers), and role-based access control to support multi-team collaboration. For regulated environments, the company indicates enterprise features to help meet compliance requirements, though exact certifications and third-party attestations are described in detail only in enterprise sales materials. Summary In summary, Chainable is a technology company focused on simplifying the composition and execution of multi-step, API-centric workflows for development teams. Its platform combines a visual orchestration studio, managed runtime, developer SDKs and CLI, and a library of connectors to help organizations build integrations, webhook handlers, backend composites, and AI orchestration pipelines more quickly and with improved observability and governance. The offering is positioned as suitable for startups, product teams, and enterprises that need to reduce the engineering cost of integrating multiple services and coordinating multi-step logic without sacrificing control or observability.
