Job description

Welcome to the Kleyn Group!

The Kleyn Group has grown over the past 105 years into the leading partner in used trucks, trailers, vans and parts. Working at Kleyn means being part of a team of professionals, each an expert in their own field. Together, we form one strong team driven to provide all our customers-anywhere in the world-with the best possible solution for their mobility needs.

Your challenge

Are you passionate about small commercial vehicles (vans) and do you enjoy working with a wide variety of brands (14 in total)? Do you find both the mechanical and electrical aspects of the job interesting? Then we have the perfect role for you! We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague who is ready to get their hands dirty in our Vans workshop. We provide all the necessary tools and a clean, well‑organized workspace so you can get started right away. Every vehicle brings new challenges. With our used vehicles, you will encounter all kinds of situations. Your work is not just about replacing parts, but also about repairing and performing diagnostics. In short: making sure the vehicles leave the workshop in better condition than when they arrived.

Your team and focus

You will be part of the Vans workshop (light commercial vehicles), working together with 12 dedicated colleagues. In addition, you will be part of a large yet friendly family‑owned company with around 150 other colleagues.

What you bring

  • You have a passion for (diesel) automotive technology for small commercial vehicles.

  • You have at least a category B driving licence, or you are willing to obtain it as soon as possible.

  • You are willing to follow the necessary professional training courses.

  • You are not afraid to get your hands dirty.

  • You understand the Dutch language or are willing to learn it.

  • You are flexible, positive and hands‑on.

  • Certification as an APK inspector (APK 2) and/or tachograph specialist is an advantage.

What you can count on

  • A good salary that matches your experience and skills.

  • You will be home on time every day.

  • In our team, you will have the opportunity to work hands‑on with the most common European brands.

  • A one‑year contract with the prospect of a permanent position.

  • When both you and the organisation perform well, a nice bonus awaits you.

  • At Kleyn, we support your development through training and refresher courses (such as tachograph calibration, APK inspection, air‑conditioning, EV, etc.).

  • A good pension scheme and 24 vacation days.

  • Access to collective insurance options.

  • Kleyn Services follows the BOVAG Collective Labour Agreement for Motor Vehicles and Two‑Wheel Technology.

  • The most enjoyable quarterly company events in the region!

Kleyn Group is best identified in public, commercial sources by its prominent trading division Kleyn Trucks, an international reseller and broker of used commercial vehicles. Operating primarily as a dealer and online marketplace for pre-owned trucks, trailers and related commercial equipment, the company’s publicly visible activities center on sourcing, inspecting, marketing and selling second‑hand heavy goods vehicles across multiple markets. Kleyn’s business model combines physical vehicle preparation and remarketing with a digital sales channel that supports direct retail sales, online auctions and international export logistics. Core business activities Vehicle acquisition and inventory management: Kleyn maintains a continuously updated inventory of used commercial vehicles sourced from fleet operators, lease returns, trade-ins and commercial consignments. The company acquires vehicles across makes and classes — including tractor units, rigid trucks and specialized commercial chassis — and manages them through intake, documentation and condition assessment workflows. Technical inspection, reconditioning and quality assurance: Vehicles listed for sale are typically subject to mechanical and cosmetic inspection, basic reconditioning and preparation for resale. Inspection processes focus on verifying mechanical condition, service history and safety‑related systems; where applicable, vehicles receive targeted maintenance, component replacement and detailing to bring them into saleable condition and to support clear pre‑sale disclosure for buyers. Multi-channel sales and remarketing: Kleyn sells vehicles through multiple channels. The company operates an online inventory portal that provides detailed listings with photographs, specifications and vehicle history information. In addition to direct sales to end customers (fleet operators, regional dealers and service companies), Kleyn runs timed online auctions and brokered sales to reach an international buyer base. Listings are marketed to buyers in Europe and in export markets beyond the EU via digital advertising, targeted outreach and dealer networks. Export and logistics services: A core part of Kleyn’s offering is managing the export process for international buyers. Services commonly provided include arranging transport and freight forwarding, preparing export documents and customs paperwork, and coordinating cross‑border compliance requirements. Kleyn supports buyers with logistics planning to deliver vehicles from the company’s yards or partner locations to the buyer’s destination country. Commercial support services: To facilitate transactions, Kleyn offers transactional support such as vehicle documentation (title/service records where available), bill of sale processing, buyer financing referrals and warranty options where applicable. The dealer also provides after‑sales support by connecting buyers with servicing partners and spare‑parts channels. For commercial and fleet purchasers, Kleyn can coordinate bulk purchases and target sourcing to match specific fleet needs. Digital platform and information services: The company emphasizes a digital marketplace presence with an online catalogue featuring searchable inventory, detailed technical specifications and high-resolution imagery. Listings commonly include odometer readings, gross vehicle weight ratings, engine and transmission details, axle configurations and tractor/trailer compatibility. The platform may also present condition reports or inspection summaries to enable remote evaluation by prospective buyers. Main products and services Used commercial vehicles: The primary product line is used trucks and commercial vehicles spanning tractor units, rigid trucks, box bodies, refrigerated units, tipper bodies and specialized vocational chassis. Inventory typically covers a range of manufacturers and model years to meet different operator budgets and operational requirements. Trailers and ancillary equipment: In addition to trucks, Kleyn lists trailers and related equipment such as container chassis and semi‑trailers, enabling customers to source combinations of powered units and trailers from a single supplier. Vehicle brokerage and remarketing: Kleyn operates as a broker and remarketer for fleets and third‑party sellers, offering market valuation, listing services and access to its buyer network to maximize resale value for sellers. Export, transportation and delivery logistics: The company arranges collection, national and international transportation, handling of customs and export documents, and delivery coordination for buyers importing vehicles. Inspection and reconditioning services: Prior to sale, vehicles are inspected and prepared. Services typically include mechanical checks, repairs, cleaning and cosmetic work required to make vehicles marketable and compliant with sale disclosures. Transaction facilitation: Kleyn assists with paperwork, invoicing, payment processing options, and in some instances warranty or short‑term coverage for sold vehicles. They also provide customer support for pre‑purchase queries and post‑sale coordination. Market position and customer base Kleyn’s business serves a broad professional buyer base that includes small and medium fleet operators, independent trucking companies, rental and leasing firms, and commercial vehicle dealerships. The firm’s multi‑country buyer reach and export capabilities make it an option for buyers seeking competitively priced used trucks with export handling and documentation support. Because operations combine physical vehicle yards with an online inventory and auction platform, Kleyn appeals to buyers who need both hands‑on inspection options and the convenience of remote purchasing. Operational footprint and partnerships Publicly available commercial listings and marketing place Kleyn as an active participant in the European used commercial vehicle marketplace, with marketing aimed at both domestic and international customers. The company works with freight forwarders, inspection agencies and service partners to support vehicle preparation, transport and compliance for cross‑border sales. Kleyn’s digital inventory and auction capabilities are core to reaching a global buyer audience and executing volume remarketing projects for fleet sellers. Note on sources and scope The foregoing description synthesizes verifiable, publicly observable aspects of Kleyn’s commercial activities as seen in online vehicle marketplaces and dealer listings: buying, preparing, marketing and exporting used commercial vehicles, plus related logistics and transaction support services. Specific internal corporate structure, financials, employee counts or proprietary systems are not asserted here unless publicly published by the company.
