Je wordt ingezet op projecten bij uiteenlopende opdrachtgevers, meestal binnen multidisciplinaire teams. De ene opdracht draait volledig om generatieve AI en AI-agents, terwijl een andere juist leunt op een stevige data science of machine learning basis. Als AI Engineer trek je op met andere data-experts, spar je inhoudelijk en blijf je jezelf technisch uitdagen en ontwikkelen.

Jouw uitdaging

AI is voor veel organisaties geen experiment meer, maar onderdeel van hun dagelijkse operatie. Als AI Engineer zorg jij ervoor dat AI-oplossingen niet op de plank blijven liggen, maar daadwerkelijk landen in processen, producten en besluitvorming. Je werkt in complexe data-omgevingen aan toepasbare AI-oplossingen, met nadruk op moderne AI- en GenAI-toepassingen. Daarnaast zijn er projecten waarin traditionele data science en machine learning een belangrijke rol spelen. In de praktijk betekent dit dat jij:

  • AI-oplossingen ontwerpt en bouwt die daadwerkelijk in productie draaien.
  • Geavanceerde AI-architecturen uitwerkt en implementeert, met focus op LLM-orkestratie, RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) en AI-agents die zelfstandig taken uitvoeren binnen klantomgevingen.
  • Werkt aan concrete use cases zoals enterprise-grade AI agents op Azure die veilig koppelen met interne bedrijfsdata, privacygerichte lokale LLM-stacks met bijvoorbeeld vLLM en FastAPI, en geautomatiseerde evaluatie-pipelines om kwaliteit en veiligheid van AI-outputs te bewaken.
  • AI-oplossingen integreert binnen bestaande data- en IT-architecturen.
  • Nauw samenwerkt met data engineers, analisten en stakeholders bij de klant.
  • Actief meedenkt over architectuurkeuzes, schaalbaarheid en verdere doorontwikkeling.

Wie ben jij:

  • Minimaal 4 jaar ervaring als AI Engineer en/of Data Scientist / ML Engineer
  • Een afgeronde master in Data Science, AI, Informatica, Econometrie of een vergelijkbare studie
  • Sterke Python-vaardigheden; ervaring met JavaScript of TypeScript is een pré
  • Ruime ervaring met het ontsluiten van gestructureerde en ongestructureerde data voor AI-toepassingen, inclusief werken met LLM-frameworks zoals LangChain of LlamaIndex en vector databases zoals Weaviate, Pinecone of Azure AI Search
  • Ervaring met cloudomgevingen, bij voorkeur Azure
  • Het vermogen om AI-oplossingen te vertalen naar productieklare toepassingen
  • Je spreekt en schrijft vloeiend Nederlands

Aanbod

  • Het salaris bestaat uit een vaste basis en een variabel deel. Bij fulltime inzet en gangbare tarieven kan het bruto maandsalaris uitkomen tussen €7.000 en €11.000. Dit is een indicatie en afhankelijk van tarief en declarabele uren;
  • Na de proeftijd direct een contract voor onbepaalde tijd;
