AWS Global Sales drives cloud adoption worldwide, empowering customers of all sizes to innovate and scale. Within this organization, the AGS Specialists Team partners directly with customers to solve their most complex challenges using AWS's leading AI and machine learning services.

We're looking for a GenAI/ML Sales Specialist to join our team covering Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay. In this role, you'll be the go-to expert and business owner for AI/ML sales across the SOLA region — helping customers unlock the full potential of Agentic AI, Generative AI, and machine learning to drive transformative business outcomes.

This is an ideal role for someone who thrives at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and strategic sales, and who is energized by building new business in one of the fastest-growing areas in cloud computing.


Key job responsibilities
As an experienced Area Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Drive pipeline creation, adoption, and revenue growth for AWS AI/ML services across assigned accounts and segments in the SOLA region.
- Align with AGS SOLA Area leadership to define and execute sales plays, partner engagements, and field enablement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to solve customer challenges with AI/ML, translating technical capabilities into business value for senior stakeholders.
- Surface customer insights and feature gaps to AWS product teams, helping shape the AI/ML roadmap to better serve the region.
- Partner with Account Managers, Solution Architects, and Data Scientists to close complex, high-value opportunities.

Basic Qualifications

- 7+ years of consultative sales or business development experience in enterprise technology, including 3+ years selling AI/ML or GenAI solutions with direct pipeline and quota responsibility.
- Demonstrated track record of building executive-level relationships (VP, C-suite) and influencing cross-functional stakeholders to drive strategic outcomes.
- Strong understanding of the AI/ML technology stack (model training, inference, data pipelines, foundation models, AI agents) and experience with cloud-based platforms.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English and Spanish, in technical and business settings (verbal and written).
- BA/BS degree or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

- AI/ML certificates or diploma
- Knowledge of data platform concepts, both from a business and technical angle
- Experience of working with Technology Partners (Software Vendors, System Integrators) in the data & GenAI & AI/ML space
