As a GCC Account Manager for AWS India, your responsibilities will include building and driving the strategy to increase AWS adoption and market penetration across Global Capability Centers (GCCs) operating in India. You will be responsible for carrying out global account strategy locally and building long-term business and technology partnerships with these strategic engineering and innovation hubs that shape global cloud architecture.




Key job responsibilities
- The candidate would drive A/ Internal Digital Transformation B/ Cloud Migration & Platform Modernization C/ Data-driven Innovation and D/ Generative AI conversations, sales plays and adoption across GCC operations.
- The candidate would drive regular and deeper executive engagement between GCC India leadership, global parent organization stakeholders, and AWS teams to ensure "Top to Top" connect from both sides.
- The candidate would have the charter of driving regular, strategic, business transformation & roadmap oriented conversations with GCC Heads, Engineering Leaders, and Center of Excellence (CoE) owners with regards to cloud architecture decisions, workload migrations, and innovation initiatives.
- The candidate would have the charter of engaging with GCC Engineering Heads, Product Development leaders, and Horizontal leaders to drive success of their Migration/Modernization strategy.
- He/she should be able to provide guidance & leadership to the extended teams and drive execution excellence behind the success of projects and Pilots.
- The candidate will lead collaboration initiatives including hackathons, immersion days, and tech days to showcase AWS capabilities, build technical mindshare, and accelerate adoption.
- The candidate would be able to evangelize with GCC CTO/CIO offices and replicate successful cloud adoption patterns across different Lines of Business (LOBs) and geographies. Also, interface with Product Engineering & Innovation teams to influence global product and platform transformation decisions.
- The candidate would work closely with GSIs and ISVs that support GCC operations and ensure alignment with global account teams to convert local initiatives into global-scale consumption.
- The candidate would ensure all local operations and cloud implementations follow Indian data sovereignty, privacy, and regulatory requirements while maintaining global architecture standards.
- The ideal candidate will possess a key account management or business development background that enables them to engage at all levels of a GCC organization, including C-levels, Engineering Heads, and technical architects of both the India operations and global parent organization.
- The candidate will demonstrate a strong technical competency focused on cloud computing, modern application development, and the evolving GCC landscape in India.
- The candidate should be a self-starter who is prepared to develop and execute against a coverage plan and business objectives, connecting AWS's global account strategy with India's growing GCC ecosystem.

A day in the life
As an Account Manager for GCC practice, you will be the owner of your assigned GCC accounts and will focus on driving digital transformation and cloud adoption through meaningful engagement with GCC leaders, Engineering Heads, architects, developers, and global stakeholders.
In this role, you will partner closely with AWS global account teams, local partners, and internal stakeholders to represent the entire portfolio of AWS products and services across your assigned GCC customer base. You will act as a thought leader, trusted advisor, and local champion who helps influence technology decisions, accelerate cloud workload migrations, and unlock new innovation opportunities that scale globally.

- Research and preparation for the day's customer meetings and calls with GCC leaders and global stakeholders
- Collaborate with Cross-functional teams (Global Account Managers, SA, ProServe, Partner teams) on pitches, demos, and technical engagements
- Customer meeting(s) and customer cadence calls with GCC India teams and global parent organization
- Stakeholder mapping across GCC India operations and global leadership
- Plan and execute in-person engagement activities (hackathons, immersion days, tech showcases)
- Ensure high standards and maintain SFDC hygiene with clear linkage between local initiatives and global consumption

Basic Qualifications

- Experience building strategic relationships with stakeholders, including communicating and collaborating across teams and functions
- 7+ years of sales or account management experience
- MBA, or experience working in a sales role

Preferred Qualifications

- - Experience in the GCC/Captive/Engineering Services ecosystem in India
- - Proven track record of driving cloud adoption and influencing technology decisions at engineering and product development organizations
- - Experience working with Global System Integrators (GSIs) and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs)
