Company Information

Company Name: AWS EMEA SARL (Israel Branch)

Company Website: https://aws.amazon.com

Company Address: Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel

AWS EMEA SARL (Israel Branch) is the Israel-registered operational branch of AWS EMEA SARL, a European legal entity of Amazon Web Services, Inc. Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a global provider of on-demand cloud computing platforms and APIs to individuals, companies, and governments on a metered pay-as-you-go basis. The EMEA SARL entity is used by AWS to manage operations, commercial relationships, and regulatory compliance across Europe, the Middle East and Africa; the Israel Branch represents AWS’s local presence in Israel to serve Israeli customers, partners, and public sector organizations. As a branch office, AWS EMEA SARL (Israel Branch) functions chiefly to deliver sales, account management, professional services, technical support, partner engagement, and localized business operations for AWS cloud services within Israel, while contracting under the legal and fiscal framework of the Luxembourg-headquartered EMEA SARL entity. Company overview and legal role: AWS EMEA SARL (Israel Branch) is not a standalone product company but a corporate branch established to represent AWS’s commercial and operational footprint in Israel. Its activities are aligned with Amazon Web Services’ global strategy to provide cloud computing infrastructure and platform services. The branch typically handles local contracting, billing, customer support, compliance assistance, and regional business development. It provides an interface between Israeli customers and AWS’s global technology, infrastructure, and service organization, facilitating procurement, onboarding, technical enablement, and escalation to global engineering and operations teams when necessary. Core business activities: The branch supports the full AWS portfolio in the local market, including customer acquisition and account management for startups, enterprises, and public sector organizations; pre-sales architecture and technical guidance; professional services and consulting engagements (delivered by AWS Professional Services or accredited partners); and training and certification programs for developers and IT professionals. It also coordinates the AWS Partner Network (APN) activities in Israel, enabling systems integrators, managed service providers, and independent software vendors to partner with AWS for resale, joint-go-to-market programs, and technical collaboration. For government and regulated industries, the branch assists with compliance, procurement frameworks, and local data-handling requirements by connecting customers with AWS compliance resources and documentation. Main products and services supported: While the branch itself is an organizational unit rather than a product developer, it supports and promotes AWS’s comprehensive cloud portfolio. This portfolio includes core infrastructure services such as Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) for compute capacity, Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) for object storage, Amazon Elastic Block Store (EBS) for block storage, and Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) for network isolation. Platform and managed services championed through the branch include Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS), Amazon DynamoDB (NoSQL database), Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) and Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS) for container orchestration, AWS Lambda for serverless compute, Amazon CloudFront for content delivery, and AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) for security controls. The branch also enables customers to access analytics, machine learning, developer tooling, IoT, and enterprise application services—examples include Amazon SageMaker for machine learning, Amazon EMR for big data processing, AWS Glue for data integration, and Amazon Connect for cloud contact centers. Customer segments and use cases: AWS EMEA SARL (Israel Branch) serves a broad range of customers operating in technology, finance, healthcare, telecommunications, retail, media, education, and government. Common use cases include web and mobile application hosting, data warehousing and analytics, high-performance computing, disaster recovery and backup, DevOps and CI/CD pipelines, IoT backends, and AI/ML model training and inference. In the Israeli market—known for its strong startup ecosystem and cybersecurity sector—the branch typically engages with emerging technology firms seeking scalable infrastructure, enterprises migrating legacy applications to the cloud, and research organizations leveraging cloud compute for scientific workloads. Local initiatives, support and ecosystem: The branch coordinates local training, events, and developer outreach, including AWS-led workshops, bootcamps, and participation in industry conferences. It supports programs such as AWS Activate for startups, AWS Training & Certification for workforce upskilling, and partner development through the APN. The branch also works with local academic institutions and research groups to facilitate cloud-based research projects and student training. Security, compliance and governance: As with AWS globally, the Israel Branch emphasizes security, data protection, and regulatory compliance. Customers are guided to AWS security best practices, shared responsibility models, and compliance documentation. The branch connects customers with AWS compliance programs and offerings designed to address regional regulatory requirements and industry standards. For organizations with specific residency or sovereignty needs, the branch assists with architectural options such as encryption, access controls, and edge services while coordinating with AWS’s global infrastructure teams. Relationship to global AWS infrastructure: The branch leverages and represents AWS’s global cloud infrastructure and managed services in the Israeli market. This includes access to AWS regions, availability zones, edge locations and managed services delivered from AWS global infrastructure. The Israel Branch’s role is primarily commercial, technical enablement and local support rather than direct operation of data center facilities; physical infrastructure and region operations are managed by AWS’s global operations teams in accordance with AWS’s global specifications. Partnerships and go-to-market: The branch works closely with an ecosystem of Israeli partners, resellers, and consulting firms to provide tailored cloud solutions. It enables joint go-to-market activities, technical enablement, and partnerships for specialized solutions such as cybersecurity, fintech, medtech, and industrial IoT. Through these partnerships, customers can access local implementation resources while leveraging AWS’s managed services. Overall, AWS EMEA SARL (Israel Branch) functions as the localized business and operational presence of Amazon Web Services in Israel, facilitating customer engagement, partner relationships, professional services, training, and localized commercial operations to enable Israeli organizations to adopt and operate AWS cloud services efficiently and in compliance with applicable local and international regulations.
