Company Address: MEX, DIF, Mexico City

Amazon Web Services Mexico S. de R.L. de C.V. is the Mexican legal entity and regional operating presence of Amazon Web Services (AWS), the global cloud services division of Amazon.com, Inc. As the local subsidiary for Mexico, Amazon Web Services Mexico operates to support businesses, public sector organizations, startups and partners within Mexico by providing access to AWS’s portfolio of on-demand cloud computing services, commercial agreements adapted to local markets, customer support and partner enablement. The entity serves as the commercial, technical and regulatory interface between Mexican customers and AWS’s global infrastructure, enabling customers in Mexico to procure cloud services, receive localized customer service and professional engagement, and connect to AWS’s global set of cloud products and solutions. Core business activities of Amazon Web Services Mexico focus on the distribution, implementation and operational support of AWS cloud services in the Mexican market. This includes sales and account management for organizations evaluating or adopting cloud technologies; technical support and enterprise account services for running production workloads; professional services and consulting to plan and execute cloud migrations and modern application development; and training and certification programs aimed at building cloud skills among developers, IT operators and architects in Mexico. The local entity also works with and supports the AWS Partner Network (APN) participants in Mexico—systems integrators, managed service providers, independent software vendors and consulting firms—helping them to build, certify and market cloud-based solutions that leverage AWS technologies. Amazon Web Services Mexico’s principal offerings mirror the global AWS product set, adapted for local customers’ commercial and compliance needs. Core product categories provided through AWS include compute (for example, virtual servers and container services), storage and content delivery (object and block storage, backup and archival services, and content distribution), databases (managed relational and NoSQL databases), networking and content delivery (virtual private clouds, networking services and content distribution networks), and developer and management tools (deployment automation, monitoring and configuration services). AWS also provides higher-level services for analytics and big data processing, machine learning and artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), mobile and application development services, and application integration services. These products are offered under standard AWS consumption pricing models and enterprise agreements, with options for pay-as-you-go usage, reserved capacity and dedicated enterprise support plans. Beyond product access, Amazon Web Services Mexico emphasizes services that help organizations accelerate cloud adoption and operate securely at scale. These services include cloud migration assistance, architecture reviews, operational readiness and best-practice guidance; managed services and support plans tailored by size and complexity of customer deployments; data protection and identity management capabilities; and training programs, workshops and labs to develop cloud competencies. AWS’s global security, identity and governance features are a central component of its delivery, and AWS Mexico supports customers in implementing these controls in alignment with local regulatory and corporate requirements. The entity also engages with public sector and regulated industry customers to address data residency, privacy and compliance considerations relevant to workloads hosted on AWS infrastructure. A significant element of Amazon Web Services Mexico’s mission in-market is partner and ecosystem development. The company invests in enabling local systems integrators, consultancies and independent software vendors to offer AWS-based solutions tailored to Mexican business needs. This includes partner training, technical enablement, co-selling programs and marketplace listings so customers can find and deploy third-party solutions that run on or integrate with AWS. AWS Mexico participates in industry and community events, customer workshops and partner summits to foster adoption and to showcase reference architectures and customer success stories from the region. Operationally, the Mexican entity acts as the commercial contracting and billing point for customers in Mexico who prefer to engage with a local corporate entity for legal and tax reasons. It provides localized sales, account management, and commercial terms consistent with AWS’s global offerings, while coordinating with AWS’s global engineering, operations, and data center infrastructure teams to ensure service availability and performance. Amazon Web Services Mexico’s customer base spans startups, midsize companies, large enterprises, government agencies and educational institutions. These customers use AWS services to host websites and applications, run enterprise applications and analytics, accelerate innovation with machine learning, and reduce capital expenditures by moving from on-premises data centers to cloud infrastructure. The local AWS organization also provides educational resources, training and certification to nurture the talent pipeline necessary for cloud-driven digital transformation across Mexican industries. While Amazon Web Services Mexico operates under the legal name Amazon Web Services Mexico S. de R.L. de C.V., it is part of the broader AWS organization that maintains a global network of cloud infrastructure, products and professional services. The presence of a Mexican subsidiary aligns AWS’s global product portfolio with local commercial, regulatory and customer support requirements, enabling organizations in Mexico to adopt and operate cloud services provided by one of the largest and most widely adopted cloud platforms globally.
