As a local legal and commercial presence for AWS in Colombia, the entity supports Colombian customers, partners, public sector organizations and enterprises by enabling procurement, billing, contracting and local engagement for AWS cloud products and services. The company functions as a regional representative of AWS’s global cloud platform, providing access to the same portfolio of infrastructure, platform and managed services that AWS operates worldwide while facilitating local commercial relationships and compliance with Colombia’s legal and tax frameworks. Company overview and positioning Amazon Web Services (AWS) is widely known as a leading provider of on‑demand cloud computing and related services. Customers in Colombia can procure AWS services under local contracts, access localized invoicing, and enroll in AWS Support plans (Basic, Developer, Business, Enterprise) to obtain technical support, architecture reviews and best-practice guidance. For complex migrations and cloud-native transformations, AWS Professional Services and APN partners provide consulting, migration planning (including lift‑and‑shift and replatforming), implementation and ongoing managed services. Compliance, governance and regional infrastructure AWS publishes global compliance and security documentation for its services, and the Colombian entity helps customers navigate local regulatory requirements, data residency considerations and procurement rules. AWS operates a global network of regions and availability zones; the nearest AWS region serving Colombia customers historically has been South America (São Paulo). AWS also offers a broad set of governance, encryption and auditing services to help organizations meet regulatory and industry-specific controls. Training, certification and partner ecosystem To build local cloud skills, Amazon Web Services Colombia S.A.S. supports AWS Training and Certification programs and works with local APN partners to deliver technical training, workshops and bootcamps.
