AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

The Cloud Sales Manager will lead a team of talented, customer focused Account Managers/Reps. Your guidance will help the team achieve their sales, career and development goals, while empowering them to help Start-ups accelerate their growth with AWS.


Key job responsibilities
- Coach and develop a team of Sales Reps to support delivery against your territory goals
- Invest in recruiting and growing the best talent, set employees up for success with a great onboarding experience, providing feedback along the way for continuous development.
- Drive strong internal and external relationships in service of an amazing customer experience, and continued rapid growth.
- Set the tone for your team: Champion a culture of achievement, inclusiveness, collaboration, creativity, and accountability while being a champion for your team’s career development
- Build and drive territory strategy and priorities, communicating them clearly with your team.
- Continuously optimize our sales methodology and the way we leverage Gen AI and Agentic AI to increase customer reach and improve our customer experience. Innovate and share ideas to improve efficiency and focus, enable greater scale, and yield better results.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to maximize results (partner, field sales, solutions architects, marketing, specialists, etc.).
- Use metrics and data to continually assess both sales performance and talent performance/retention to fully understand underlying drivers.

Basic Qualifications

- 9+ years of technology related sales, business development or equivalent experience
- Experience in sales management or equivalent
- Experience leading prioritization of tasks, team scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

- Knowledge of existing and developing technologies as it relates to cloud computing
- 5+ years of exceeding quota and key performance metrics experience
