Amazon Prime Video Accounting is looking for a highly motivated and curious Accounting Manager to lead a team and serve as a key business partner on the Accounting Team located in Seattle, Washington. Amazon Prime Video features award-winning original television series and movies, as well as content licensed from the world's largest studios including Warner, Disney, and NBCU. Worldwide, we continue to focus on unique stories, voices, and characters from top and up-and-coming creators.

The right individual will have exceptional accounting skills, strong team leadership and people management capabilities, and solid business judgment capable of driving an organization to the right results. They will have operated successfully in a fast-paced, global, results-oriented environment, and have the ability to lead and develop a team while influencing the decisions of senior business leaders through effective verbal and written communication, logical reasoning, and the presentation of alternatives. The successful candidate will collaborate with partner accounting teams in both London and Singapore and work closely with global business and financial systems teams to support new launches and design and deliver high-impact AI initiatives and productivity improvements. They must be able to think and act both strategically and tactically while building and mentoring a high-performing accounting team.

Key job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities

• Leading a Seattle-based team in delivering accurate and comprehensive financial reporting for the largest territories in our global SVOD content portfolio (US and LATAM). Serving as the primary point of contact for SVOD accounting across the US region while reporting to UK-based leadership the candidate will need to act as an independent team leader and interact directly with senior accounting leadership

• Partnering with business, accounting, finance, and tax stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and compliance

• Owning critical financial reporting deliverables, including 10-K and 10-Q disclosures, and present key findings to Digital senior accounting leadership

• Drive the design and implementation of SVOD AI automation solutions and operational improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy across accounting processes

• Collaborate closely with the content acquisition teams to evaluate new contracts and their accounting implications, demonstrating strong judgment and backbone by independently championing accounting controllership considerations in new business terms and launches

• Prepare technical accounting memos under US GAAP for digital content contracts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies

• Lead cross-functional project work across the broader Digital organization, including process improvement initiatives for existing processes and controls, and integration of accounting processes with Amazon systems and policies

• Coordinate quarterly reviews and approvals of estimates related to the digital business, presenting conclusions and recommendations to the Digital senior accounting leadership team

• Execute quarterly reviews and sign-offs on SOX 404 key controls associated with the group's digital business, ensuring robust internal control frameworks

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- 5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience

Preferred Qualifications

- CMA or CPA, or MBA in finance, accounting or related field
- Experience developing and managing a high-performing team
- Experience in identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan, or experience communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience analyzing data and creating reports for leadership
- Experience in preparing and/or reviewing 10Q/10K reporting deliverables
- • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
