Job Description

Amazon is hiring an ASIC test development engineer to create tests and oversee production of our Trainium AI (Machine Learning) chips.
We have had massive adoption of this AI training chip and need to develop and maintain robust production capacity.

This position is nominally in Taipei but the expectation is that you will rarely visit the office, the majority of your work will be remote, from your home office or on-site at various OSATs in Taiwan and overseas.



Key job responsibilities
Hardware development for probe, final test, and system-level test.

Software development and integration for each insert.

General tool/script development support

NPI engineering support for production ramp-up.

High-volume production troubleshooting.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Experience identifying bugs in architecture, algorithms, functionality, and performance with strong overall debugging skills
- Experience verifying at multiple levels of logic from IP blocks to SoCs to full system testing
- 2+ years of experience on Advantest 93K, Teradyne IGXL-based testers, or other system-level testers.
- 2+ years of experience in C/C++ and/or Microsoft VBA/VBT and terminal shell environments.
- Hands-on experience with Git version control tools and disciplined production test program release processes.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with industry standard tools and scripting languages (Python or Perl) for automation
- Experience with compilers, generating SOs and DLLs from large codebases
- Experience with test datalog and yield analysis tools such as JMP and Optimal+.
