Company Information

Company Name: Amazon Italia Logistica S.R.L. - B96

Company Address: Vle Monte Grappa 3/5 Milano Lombardia 20124

Amazon Italia Logistica S.R.L. is an Amazon group company that functions as the Italian logistics and fulfilment arm supporting the Amazon retail and marketplace operations in Italy. As a legal entity within the broader Amazon corporate structure, Amazon Italia Logistica S.R.L. is principally associated with the operation and management of physical logistics infrastructure in Italy, including the network of fulfilment centers, sortation centers and delivery operations that enable order processing, storage, packing, and distribution for customers and third‑party sellers using Amazon’s online marketplace. The company’s activities are focused on the end‑to‑end handling of consumer and seller orders placed through Amazon platforms that serve the Italian market. Core business activities performed under the Amazon Italia Logistica S.R.L. umbrella include inbound and outbound logistics processes typical of large e‑commerce fulfilment operations. These processes encompass receiving inventory from manufacturers and marketplace sellers, storing goods in temperature‑controlled and ambient warehouse environments, inventory management and replenishment, order picking, packing and labelling, and preparing shipments for last‑mile delivery. The company also operates sortation and distribution facilities that consolidate orders by delivery routes and hand packages off to in‑house delivery networks and contracted last‑mile carriers. In addition to physical goods handling, the company supports reverse logistics activities—processing returns and refurbishments where applicable—and manages the flow of returned items back into inventory or secondary channels. On the technology side, Amazon Italia Logistica S.R.L. integrates software and systems that are standard across Amazon’s fulfilment ecosystem. These include warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory‑control software that track item locations, available quantities, and pick/pack workflows; order‑management interfaces that prioritize and route orders according to service level and delivery promises; and labour management and analytics tools that monitor throughput, staffing, and productivity. The company’s operations also rely on automation hardware—such as conveyors and, where deployed, robotic systems—and scanning and handheld devices that interface with Amazon’s central order platforms to ensure accuracy and traceability across fulfilment steps. These capabilities are leveraged to meet service commitments such as expedited shipping options (including Prime delivery promises) and to support high volumes during peak periods. Amazon Italia Logistica S.R.L. provides logistics services to multiple categories of users of the Amazon ecosystem. Primary beneficiaries are retail customers purchasing through Amazon’s Italian storefront and marketplace sellers who list products for sale to customers in Italy and nearby markets. For marketplace sellers, the company supports fulfilment‑by‑Amazon (FBA) style services—receiving seller inventory into Amazon’s network and fulfilling customer orders on their behalf—thereby allowing sellers to offer Amazon shipping options without directly operating their own logistics infrastructure. The company’s services therefore span both direct retail fulfilment (inventory owned by Amazon) and third‑party seller fulfilment (inventory owned by independent sellers but stored and shipped by Amazon Italia Logistica S.R.L.). Operational responsibilities extend beyond pure parcel movement. Amazon Italia Logistica S.R.L. is involved in quality control and compliance activities related to product handling, safety and packaging standards. It implements protocols for the storage and handling of regulated items (where applicable), hazardous goods processes, and the segregation of inventory by category or handling requirement. The company’s facilities are commonly staffed with roles spanning site managers, operations supervisors, process engineers, IT and automation technicians, safety and compliance professionals, and logistics planners, reflecting the cross‑functional needs of modern e‑commerce fulfilment operations. Customer‑facing outcomes of the company’s operations include the ability to offer a range of shipping speeds and services to Italian consumers—same‑day, next‑day and standard delivery options—depending on product eligibility and location. These delivery capabilities are supported by the company’s coordination with Amazon’s delivery network, which comprises Amazon‑owned delivery operations as well as independent delivery service partners and local courier collaborators. Additionally, the company’s logistics operations support promotional and peak‑demand events (for example seasonal sales and holiday periods) by scaling throughput and utilising forecasting and capacity‑planning tools to manage spikes in order volume. As a member of the Amazon corporate family, Amazon Italia Logistica S.R.L. operates within the regulatory, tax and commercial frameworks applicable to companies doing business in Italy. Its public footprint is visible through job postings, facility announcements, and local permitting and land‑use records when new fulfilment centres or delivery stations are opened. While Amazon’s consumer‑facing brand and technology platforms provide the marketplace and retail storefront, Amazon Italia Logistica S.R.L. represents the legal and operational entity responsible for a significant portion of the physical logistics needed to convert online orders into delivered packages for customers in Italy. This description focuses on verifiable operational roles commonly associated with the Amazon logistics entity in Italy—warehousing, order fulfilment, distribution, returns processing and integration with Amazon’s digital order platforms—and on the technological and operational systems used to support high‑volume e‑commerce logistics. Specific facility locations, corporate contact points, and legal filings for the company are maintained in national business registries and Amazon’s corporate disclosures; those records provide granular legal and address details for the entity where required for regulatory or administrative purposes.
