Company Address: Avenida de la Astronomía, 24, 28830 San Fernando de Henares, Madrid, Spain

Amazon Spain Fulfillment, S.L.U. is a Spanish legal entity operating as part of Amazon’s European fulfillment and logistics network. The company functions primarily as an operator of warehousing, order fulfillment, returns processing and distribution services that support Amazon’s retail operations in Spain and the broader Iberian market. As a fulfillment company, its activities center on receiving and storing inventory, processing customer orders, picking, packing and labeling parcels, coordinating carrier handoffs and managing inbound and outbound logistics flows for products sold on Amazon’s web and mobile storefronts. In addition to serving Amazon’s direct retail business, the company provides infrastructure and operational capacity that supports third-party sellers enrolled in Amazon’s Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) program, enabling professional sellers to store inventory in Amazon-operated facilities and have Amazon pick, pack, ship and provide customer service on their behalf. Operationally, Amazon Spain Fulfillment, S.L.U. is responsible for running multiple physical fulfillment center facilities and related support sites (such as sortation centers and delivery stations) located in Spain. These facilities are designed to handle a high volume of SKUs across many categories, including general merchandise, electronics, books, household goods and apparel. Typical activities performed at the company’s sites include inbound receiving and quality inspection of shipments, automated and manual put-away into racking or shelving, order selection using handheld scanners and pick-to-light / voice systems, packing using standardized packaging processes and protective materials, labeling and preparation for carrier pickup, and returns processing including triage, refurbishment or disposition. The business also implements inventory management practices such as cycle counting, replenishment and storage optimization to maintain availability and minimize fulfillment latency. Technology and automation are integral to how Amazon Spain Fulfillment executes its operations. Facilities operated by the company commonly use warehouse execution systems, proprietary fulfillment software and data-driven processes to track inventory location, manage order batches, route items to appropriate pick zones and optimize throughput. In many centers, Amazon Robotics technologies (formerly Kiva) and other automated material handling equipment are used to enhance picking and storage efficiency; conveyor and sortation systems move parcels between processing stages, and software-driven algorithms schedule tasks and prioritize orders for rapid dispatch. The company leverages telemetry, sensors and data analytics to monitor equipment performance and operational KPIs, and applies machine learning models for demand forecasting, inventory placement and route optimization to reduce delivery times and costs. Customer and seller-facing services enabled by Amazon Spain Fulfillment include same-day, next-day and scheduled delivery options for eligible products, Prime-eligible fulfillment that meets defined speed and reliability standards, multi-channel fulfillment (where Amazon ships orders placed on other sales channels using inventory stored in Amazon facilities), and managed returns handling for customer-initiated returns and seller returns. The company also supports compliance with applicable Spanish and European Union regulations related to product storage, handling, safety, customs and data protection insofar as those apply to fulfillment and logistics operations. Workforce and operational practices at Amazon Spain Fulfillment centers combine automated systems with large, seasonal and permanent employee cohorts performing processing, quality control, maintenance and logistics roles. The company implements operational safety programs, training initiatives and continuous improvement efforts to increase productivity while seeking to maintain workplace safety and regulatory compliance. During peak retail periods, such as holiday seasons, facilities typically scale labor and operational hours to meet elevated order volumes. From a commercial standpoint, Amazon Spain Fulfillment, S.L.U. is a service provider within Amazon’s broader platform: it supplies the physical infrastructure and operational execution that convert online orders into delivered parcels. By centralizing inventory and logistics operations within Amazon-operated locations in Spain, the company aims to reduce transit times, increase assortment available for quick delivery and enable Amazon’s service-level promises (e.g., Prime delivery) for customers in Spain and nearby markets. For third-party sellers, the company’s fulfillment services provide access to Amazon’s delivery network, customer service handling for logistics-related inquiries, and integration with Amazon’s seller and inventory management tools, which collectively allow sellers to scale their reach without building their own warehousing and distribution systems. As a legal entity registered in Spain, Amazon Spain Fulfillment, S.L.U. interfaces with local authorities, commercial partners and logistics carriers, and participates in regional logistics ecosystems to coordinate last-mile delivery and returns flows. The company’s facilities are also focal points for testing and deploying operational innovations—ranging from new picking technologies to sustainability measures such as packaging optimization and energy efficiency initiatives—consistent with the operational goals of large-scale e-commerce fulfillment providers. Overall, Amazon Spain Fulfillment, S.L.U. is a core operational component of Amazon’s presence in Spain, responsible for the physical processing and movement of customer orders and for enabling seller fulfillment services in the Spanish market.
