Job Description

At the heart of AWS marketing initiatives are customer stories—powerful endorsements from globally recognized brands demonstrating leadership in AI and cloud innovation. This role requires working backwards from AWS's strategic priorities to proactively seek customers who embody the narratives that matter most, ensuring we deliver fewer, higher-impact customer stories that drive meaningful business results.

As part of the AWS Customer References team—the central hub for all AWS customer reference activities—you will ensure consistency, quality, and strategic alignment across the LATAM region. You'll focus resources on customers and narratives that reflect AWS's strategic priorities and areas of significant business investment, serving as the trusted partner that amplifies customer voices and showcases AWS's transformational impact

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Brazil refers to the Brazilian legal and operational presence of Amazon Web Services, the cloud computing division of Amazon.com, Inc. AWS is a global provider of on-demand cloud computing platforms and APIs to individuals, companies, and governments. In Brazil, AWS operates through its regional infrastructure and local business organization to serve Brazilian customers, partners, public-sector organizations, and multinational companies with cloud-based compute, storage, database, networking, analytics, machine learning, and application services. The Brazil operations are integrated with AWS’s worldwide platform and extend the company’s standard portfolio of cloud products and professional offerings to the local market, including localized sales, technical support, training, partner programs, and compliance guidance. Company overview and scope of activities AWS Brazil is the regional manifestation of Amazon’s cloud services business in Brazil. It provides the same core cloud infrastructure and managed services that AWS offers globally, while addressing region-specific requirements such as local data residency, regional pricing and billing in local currency, Portuguese-language technical and commercial support, and engagement with the local partner ecosystem. AWS’s Brazil presence includes support for the South America (São Paulo) Region, which gives Brazilian customers the ability to deploy applications and store data on infrastructure physically located in Brazil to reduce latency and meet regulatory needs related to data locality. The Brazil organization coordinates customer onboarding, systems integration, professional services, and specialist programs (for example, programs for startups, public-sector entities, and enterprise digital transformation initiatives). Core business activities and operational capabilities AWS Brazil’s primary activities are the sale, provisioning, and operational support of cloud computing services. These activities include: provisioning virtual servers and compute capacity; offering managed and serverless compute platforms; providing scalable object, block, and file storage; delivering managed relational and NoSQL databases; enabling networking and content delivery; and offering monitoring, governance, and security services. AWS Brazil also operates or supports local professional services, training and certification programs, and a partner network that includes systems integrators, independent software vendors (ISVs), consultancies, and managed service providers that deliver solutions tailored to Brazilian customers. Main products and services offered locally The product set available through AWS Brazil mirrors AWS’s global portfolio and is centered on cloud infrastructure and platform services. Key categories of services available to customers in Brazil include: - Compute: Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) instances, AWS Lambda (serverless compute), and container services such as Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS) and Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS). - Storage and content delivery: Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) for object storage, Elastic Block Store (EBS), Amazon FSx for managed file storage, and Amazon CloudFront content delivery network services. - Databases and data management: Managed relational database services (Amazon RDS, including engines such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle and SQL Server where licensed), Amazon Aurora, and NoSQL databases (Amazon DynamoDB); also caching (Amazon ElastiCache) and datawarehouse/analytics services (Amazon Redshift). - Networking and edge services: Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), load balancing (Elastic Load Balancing), Direct Connect for dedicated network links, and edge/accelerator offerings. - Analytics, machine learning, and AI: Data analytics and processing services (AWS Glue, Amazon EMR), warehousing (Redshift), and machine learning platforms and APIs (Amazon SageMaker, Amazon Rekognition, Amazon Comprehend and other managed AI/ML services). - Security, identity and compliance: AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), AWS Key Management Service (KMS), AWS CloudTrail and AWS Config for auditing and governance, and a range of security and compliance tools designed to help customers meet regulatory and industry standards. - Developer tools and management: Monitoring and logging (Amazon CloudWatch), deployment and CI/CD tooling (AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild), infrastructure-as-code tooling (AWS CloudFormation), and cost management and governance solutions. Ecosystem, partner programs and customer enablement AWS Brazil engages a broad partner ecosystem through the AWS Partner Network (APN), enabling local consulting partners, managed service providers, and independent software vendors to build, certify, and deliver solutions on AWS infrastructure. The Brazil organization supports customer enablement with localized training and certification paths, technical workshops, migration and modernization programs, and specialized offerings for startups and public-sector customers. AWS Marketplace is available to procure third-party software and solutions that run on AWS infrastructure. Regulatory, compliance and data residency considerations To serve Brazilian customers and public-sector entities, AWS provides a local region and guidance to support data residency and regulatory compliance needs. AWS describes compliance offerings and certifications on its official channels and provides documentation and support to help organizations operate securely in the cloud, implement governance controls, and address privacy and regulatory requirements relevant to Brazil. Support, professional services and commercial offerings AWS Brazil offers localized support plans and commercial engagement models that allow customers to obtain technical support and architecture guidance, procurement and billing in local currency, and access to professional services for migrations, cloud adoption, and modernization projects. The region-level offerings are complemented by global AWS professional services and third-party consultancies that assist with large-scale digital transformations. Summary In Brazil, AWS provides a comprehensive suite of cloud infrastructure and platform services, combined with localized commercial, technical, and partner support to meet the needs of Brazilian enterprises, government organizations, and developers. The Brazil presence is part of AWS’s global infrastructure footprint, enabling customers to deploy and operate cloud-native and migrated workloads on AWS-managed infrastructure located in the South America (São Paulo) region, while benefiting from a wide portfolio of compute, storage, database, analytics, networking, security, machine learning, and application services.
