Company Information

Company Name: Amazon (Shanghai) International Trading Company Limited Hangzhou Branch

Company Website: https://www.amazon.cn

Company Address: No. 567 Tianshan West RoadChangning District, Shanghai, China

Amazon (Shanghai) International Trading Company Limited Hangzhou Branch is the Hangzhou-registered branch office of Amazon (Shanghai) International Trading Co., Ltd., a China-incorporated subsidiary of Amazon.com, Inc. As a local branch of Amazon’s Chinese corporate entity, the Hangzhou Branch functions as an operational and commercial presence for Amazon’s range of technology-driven retail and seller services within the Hangzhou region and surrounding provinces. The parent entity, Amazon (Shanghai) International Trading Co., Ltd., is a legal vehicle used by Amazon to operate a variety of consumer-facing and business-to-business activities in mainland China, including cross-border e-commerce facilitation, seller support, and commercial trade activities under Amazon’s global marketplace and related business lines. At a high level, the Hangzhou Branch supports the implementation and delivery of Amazon’s core commercial services tailored for the local market. Those activities typically include onboarding and supporting local merchants who sell on Amazon’s international marketplaces (often through Amazon Global Selling programs), coordinating regional marketing and business development efforts, liaising with logistics and fulfillment partners (including services related to Fulfillment by Amazon where available), and providing local customer- and seller-support coordination. In practice, a branch office of Amazon (Shanghai) International Trading Co., Ltd. commonly performs functions such as account management for sellers, localized business operations, regional sales and partnerships, training and events for local merchants, and administrative functions needed for compliance with Chinese corporate and trade regulations. The products and services associated with this legal entity reflect Amazon’s broader portfolio. On the consumer and merchant-facing side, those offerings include operation and facilitation of Amazon’s online marketplace services (enabling retail sales and third-party marketplace listings), cross-border trade facilitation for Chinese exporters and international sellers, and associated merchant tools such as seller central interfaces, listing and inventory management, advertising solutions for merchants (Amazon Advertising), and payments/settlement support. For logistics and distribution, the branch coordinates with fulfilment and delivery networks to support order fulfillment, returns handling, and supply-chain-related services where Amazon or its partners operate in China. Additionally, Amazon’s digital-product lines—such as Kindle content distribution and digital media services—are managed by related Amazon corporate entities, and merchant-facing developer tools or APIs used by sellers and partners are part of the wider Amazon technology ecosystem. Although Amazon’s cloud services (Amazon Web Services, AWS) are operated in China through locally licensed partner arrangements, the Hangzhou Branch may serve as a local point of contact for regionally oriented business development, account management, or partner coordination related to Amazon’s broader technology services. More generally, the branch acts to represent Amazon’s commercial presence in the Hangzhou area, enabling coordination between Amazon’s global operations and local customers, sellers, partners, and regulators. From an organizational perspective, branch offices such as the Hangzhou Branch typically perform commercial, administrative, and liaison roles rather than acting as independent legal entities; they operate under the legal umbrella of the registered parent company (Amazon (Shanghai) International Trading Co., Ltd.). As such, public records and corporate filings for the parent company provide definitive legal and registration details, while the branch provides a local operational footprint supporting Amazon’s technology-driven retail and seller services. Public-facing interactions (for example, seller support programs, training events, and local partnerships) reflect Amazon’s emphasis on enabling merchants to access Amazon’s global marketplace infrastructure. Because this entry describes a registered local branch of a major multinational technology and e-commerce company, the branch’s specific staffing, office location, and exact operational scope can vary over time according to Amazon’s local business needs and changes in regulatory or commercial strategy in China. For current and authoritative details about corporate registration, permitted business scope, and contact channels, official Chinese corporate registration filings and Amazon’s corporate websites (global and China-facing pages) provide the primary, verifiable sources of information.
