- Influence technical decision makers across multiple teams and business units, driving adoption of AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, SageMaker, Bedrock, HealthLake, and more
- Proactively identify risks, architectural improvement opportunities, and operational health optimizations across complex customer environments
This position will require the ability to travel 10% or more as needed.

Key job responsibilities
- Strategic Account Leadership: Own the technical support relationship for strategic HCLS accounts, executing Strategic Support Plans aligned to business outcomes including regulatory compliance, clinical transformation, and AI/Gen AI adoption

- Cross Program Orchestration: Coordinate across migrations, HPC/GPU research, manufacturing modernization, AI/Gen AI initiatives, and SaaS transformations to reduce risk
- Incident and Escalation Management: Serve as the senior escalation point during critical events, driving resolution with engineering and service teams
- Operational Excellence: Ensure customer environments remain healthy, resilient, and cost effective through operations and Well Architected reviews

Company Information

Company Name: Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL (Irish Branch)

Company Website: https://aws.amazon.com

Company Address: One Burlington PlazaBurlington Road Dublin 4, D04 RH96 Ireland

Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL (Irish Branch) is the Ireland-registered branch of Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, a legal entity used by Amazon Web Services (AWS) to conduct commercial, support and operational activities in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. As a branch of the AWS EMEA legal entity, the Irish Branch functions as part of AWS’s regional organization that delivers cloud computing infrastructure, platform services and associated commercial and technical support to customers located in or served from Ireland and the broader EMEA market. The branch operates under the broader AWS family of businesses and is integrated into AWS’s global service portfolio, enabling local commercial agreements, customer support interactions, and regional program delivery in alignment with AWS policies and offerings. Core business activities of the Irish Branch center on facilitating the provision, sale, and operational support of AWS cloud services to enterprises, public sector organizations, startups and developers across the EMEA region. The branch supports customer engagement activities such as sales, account management, technical and professional services coordination, partner and channel relationships, billing and invoicing for customers contracting under the AWS EMEA legal entity framework, and local regulatory or compliance coordination. It also plays a role in enabling AWS’s localized programs for training, certification, partner enablement, and ecosystem development in Ireland and neighboring markets. The main products and services associated with Amazon Web Services—and that the Irish Branch supports commercially and operationally—are those offered by AWS’s global cloud platform. These include infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) and platform-as-a-service (PaaS) offerings across a broad set of capabilities: compute (for example, Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud/EC2, serverless compute such as AWS Lambda), storage and content delivery (for example, Amazon Simple Storage Service/S3, Amazon Elastic Block Store/EBS, Amazon CloudFront), managed databases and caching (for example, Amazon Relational Database Service/RDS, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon ElastiCache), networking and connectivity (for example, Amazon Virtual Private Cloud/VPC, AWS Direct Connect), identity and access management and security services (for example, AWS Identity and Access Management/IAM, AWS Key Management Service/KMS), developer tools and application services (for example, AWS CodeCommit, AWS CodeDeploy), container and orchestration services (for example, Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service/EKS, Amazon Elastic Container Service/ECS), analytics and data processing (for example, Amazon Redshift, Amazon EMR), machine learning and artificial intelligence services (for example, Amazon SageMaker, AWS AI/ML APIs), Internet of Things (IoT) services, management and governance tools (for example, AWS CloudFormation, AWS CloudWatch, AWS Config), and a large catalog of industry-specific and partner-delivered solutions available through the AWS Marketplace. In its regional role, the Irish Branch supports AWS’s compliance, data protection and sovereignty-related activities for customers operating in EU and EMEA jurisdictions by coordinating with AWS’s regional infrastructure and legal teams. AWS operates multiple AWS Regions and Availability Zones across Europe, and customers contracting through the EMEA legal entity or local branches interact with the Irish Branch for commercial, contractual and localized support matters. The branch helps facilitate access to AWS’s professional services, migration programs, partner networks, training and certification resources, and enterprise support plans intended to accelerate cloud adoption and operational use of AWS technologies. AWS’s product and service model emphasizes a broad catalog of on-demand capabilities, pay-as-you-go pricing, and a range of support tiers; the Irish Branch enables local customers to access those offerings, obtain regionally relevant documentation and compliance assurances, and coordinate technical support. AWS services supported through the branch are frequently used for cloud-native application development, large-scale data processing and analytics, backup and disaster recovery, website and content delivery, software hosting and distribution, high-performance computing, and machine learning model development and deployment. The branch also supports partnerships with system integrators, independent software vendors, managed service providers, and public sector organizations to deliver solutions built on AWS infrastructure. Operationally, the Irish Branch interfaces with AWS’s global and regional teams to align commercial terms, data-residency arrangements, and regulatory responses for customers in Ireland and the EMEA area. It forms part of AWS’s broader commercial presence that includes local sales offices, support centers, training facilities and partner ecosystems. While AWS as a whole publishes technical documentation, service level information, security and compliance attestations, and customer-facing product details on its official website and through customer agreements, the Irish Branch specifically provides the localized business and administrative presence necessary to serve customers under the EMEA legal structure. The branch thus functions as an on-the-ground administrative and commercial entity to help regional customers procure, deploy, and operate AWS cloud services in accordance with local laws and corporate policies.
