Company Information

Company Name: AWS EMEA SARL (UK Branch) - F93

Company Website: https://aws.amazon.com/

Company Address: 1 Principal Place, Worship Street, London EC2A 2FA, United Kingdom

AWS EMEA SARL (UK Branch) is the United Kingdom branch of Amazon Web Services EMEA S.à r.l., the European legal entity that operates Amazon Web Services (AWS) activities across the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. As the UK branch of a larger Amazon.com, Inc. group company, this entity serves as a regional operating presence for AWS in the United Kingdom, enabling delivery of cloud computing products, platform services, technical support, and commercial arrangements to customers and partners located in the UK and nearby markets. The branch functions within AWS’s global organizational structure to support sales, marketing, account management, partner programs, professional services, compliance engagement, and local customer-facing operations, while the core cloud infrastructure and service offerings are provided through AWS’s global platform. Core business activities of AWS EMEA SARL (UK Branch) center on the commercial and contractual aspects of providing Amazon Web Services to organizations in the UK and adjacent EMEA territories. Those activities typically include managing customer subscriptions and billing for AWS services, supporting enterprise and government procurement processes, operating local sales and account teams, coordinating with regional partners and system integrators, providing professional services and technical advisory through AWS Professional Services or partner-delivered engagements, and facilitating compliance, data protection, and regulatory interactions with UK authorities and customers. The UK branch also often coordinates localized marketing, training, certification delivery, and ecosystem support for the AWS Partner Network (APN). The main products and services accessible via the AWS platform — and therefore commercially offered and supported to UK customers through this branch — encompass a broad portfolio of cloud infrastructure and platform capabilities. Key capabilities include compute services (notably Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud - EC2), object and block storage (Amazon Simple Storage Service - S3 and Amazon Elastic Block Store - EBS), managed databases (Amazon Relational Database Service - RDS, Amazon Aurora, Amazon DynamoDB), networking and content delivery (Amazon Virtual Private Cloud - VPC; Amazon CloudFront), serverless computing (AWS Lambda), container orchestration and management (Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service - EKS; Amazon Elastic Container Service - ECS), analytics and big-data services (Amazon EMR, Amazon Redshift), machine learning and AI services (Amazon SageMaker and a broad set of inference, data, and ML managed services), developer and application services (AWS Identity and Access Management - IAM, AWS CloudFormation, AWS CodePipeline), security and governance services (AWS Key Management Service - KMS, AWS Config, Amazon GuardDuty), migration and hybrid integration tools (AWS Migration Hub, AWS Database Migration Service), and managed edge and IoT offerings. In addition to on-demand infrastructure and managed platform services, AWS provides commercial constructs such as reserved capacity, Savings Plans, enterprise support plans, and AWS Marketplace for third-party software and services. AWS EMEA SARL (UK Branch) supports a diverse set of customer segments, including startups, small and medium-sized businesses, large enterprises, public sector organizations, educational institutions, and nonprofit entities. The branch typically engages in multi-faceted customer programs: onboarding and migration assistance for customers moving workloads to the cloud; architecture and optimization reviews to help customers reduce cost and improve performance; security and compliance advisory to meet UK-specific regulatory requirements; and training and certification services to build local cloud skills. The branch also acts as an interface for UK-based partners in the AWS Partner Network, enabling go-to-market initiatives, co-selling, joint professional services delivery, and validation programs. Operationally, AWS EMEA SARL (UK Branch) aligns with AWS’s global practices around data residency, security, and compliance. While the physical cloud infrastructure (regions and availability zones) is operated by AWS globally, the branch coordinates local compliance engagements, contractual terms, and data processing arrangements to meet customer requirements under UK law and sector-specific regulations. AWS’s commercial offerings for the UK commonly reference global best practices in security, certification (for example SOC, ISO, and other attestations where applicable), and privacy controls, and the branch facilitates customer access to these artifacts and support. The branch also supports AWS’s ecosystem of professional services, training, and partner-delivered managed services in the UK market. This includes enabling customer connections to AWS training and certification programs, participation in cloud-native events, workshops, and hands-on labs, and collaboration with consulting partners for large-scale transformations. Typical use cases enabled by AWS’s offerings (and thus supported commercially by the UK branch) include scalable web and mobile application hosting, backup and disaster recovery, big data analytics, machine learning model training and deployment, high-performance computing, Internet of Things (IoT) backends, and software development and DevOps pipelines. As a regional legal and commercial presence, AWS EMEA SARL (UK Branch) does not itself manufacture hardware; rather, it provides contractual and support services that enable customers to consume AWS’s managed cloud infrastructure and platform services. Customers and partners typically interact with this branch for local contracting, enterprise support escalation, commercial negotiations, and region-specific program participation. For official product information, service descriptions, technical documentation, and contact channels, Amazon Web Services maintains a comprehensive public website with regional pages and local contact options.
