Join our dynamic Alexa Connections team as a Sr. SDE, and lead futuristic agentic AI initiatives that will shape the next generation of intelligent, conversational experiences. In this role, you'll work at the intersection of disruptive AI technologies and real-world impact, making a difference for millions of customers. As a Sr. SDE, you'll drive the development and scaling of real-time Agentic AI solutions that power our next-generation communication features. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, sciences, design, and engineering, to design and deliver innovative solutions that leverage these AI technologies to enable seamless, intelligent communication experiences. You'll also lead the design and architecture aspects of these advanced AI systems into Alexa's core experience and ensure a high quality bar and CX for our customers.


Key job responsibilities
As part of our team, you will design and develop large-scale agentic AI systems that power Communications features on Alexa.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand a range of Agentic AI requirements and deliver solutions that ensure high data quality and availability. You will also contribute to evaluating and implementing new technologies to improve our Alexa systems and support team members through knowledge sharing and technical guidance.

Experience with full-stack development, distributed systems, agentic AI and machine learning will be valuable as you work across various layers of our technology stack to ensure end-to-end data excellence.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or above in computer science or equivalent
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience, or Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience, or Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience using managed ML/AI solutions
- 5+ years of building large-scale machine learning and AI solutions at Internet scale experience
