As an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Solutions Architect within the Strategic Accounts segment you are responsible for partnering with our most valuable customers to design cloud architectures utilizing AWS services. You have technical depth, business aptitude, and the ability to lead in-depth technology discussions, articulating the business value of the AWS platform and services. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are required for engaging and influence Enterprise Architects, Technical Architects, Cloud Architects, Directors, VP’s and CXOs.

You will be part of a culture of innovation where you’ll use AWS services to help our customers solve business challenges such as rapidly releasing products/services to the market or building an elastic, scalable, cost optimized application. Enable innovation through continuous deployment in DevOps, build highly scalable web & mobile applications with data store technologies.

AWS services cover a wide range of technologies including operational security, infrastructure, DevOps, highly available software architectures, observability, machine learning and analytics. Our customer solutions usually involve many of these at once. AWS Solutions Architects are expected to have at least one technical areas of depth, but also need to be capable of leading discussions across most of these areas.

Key job responsibilities
As a Solutions Architect, you will provide architectural and technical leadership to a portfolio of customers who are looking to leverage AWS services at scale. You will be the domain expert guiding architectural design decisions, while demonstrating customer obsession to ensure high availability and performance of the customers applications. You’ll have the opportunity to learn and be curious while evangelizing the latest innovations and best practices in infrastructure, engineering and application design. You will mentor peers and customers while growing your knowledge.

As a core member of the account team, you will drive revenue growth across a specific customer. As a trusted customer advocate, you will help organizations understand and implement advanced cloud-based solutions, and how to migrate existing workloads to the cloud. You will have the opportunity to shape and execute a strategy to build knowledge and broad use of AWS. You will also need to be adept at interacting, communicating and partnering with other teams within AWS such as services teams, marketing, and professional services, as well as representing your team to executive management.

Basic Qualifications

- Knowledge of cloud architecture
- 10+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience
- 5+ years of architecting/operating solutions built on any cloud service provider like Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, etc. experience
- Experience presenting technical solutions to diverse audiences in pre-sales environments
- 5+ years of experience in any one specific technology domain areas (e.g. AIML, data & analytics, migration and mordenisation).

Preferred Qualifications

- Knowledge of AWS services, market segments, customer base and industry verticals
- 7+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience, or AWS Professional level certification
- Experience leading the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems, or experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
- 10+ years' experience in designing and implementing large distributed systems, with deep expertise in core infrastructure, solution architecture, and distributed computing patterns.
- Professional experience in pre-sales consulting with proven presentation skills, executive engagement capabilities, and track record of effectively communicating with stakeholders at all levels while managing ambiguous requirements.
