Job Description

Cloud is now one of the biggest business expenses—and one of the hardest to manage.
At Finout, we’re not just shedding light on spend—we’re giving companies the power to make smarter, faster, and more strategic decisions about the cloud.
We’re trusted by brands like The New York Times, Wiz, Elastic, SiriusXM, and Lyft, and backed by top-tier investors with over $85M raised. In just 4 years, we’ve grown to 100+ people across Tel Aviv and New York—and we’re just getting started.
If you’re looking to build something big, solve real problems, and grow fast—we’d love to meet you.

About the Role

At Finout, documentation isn't an afterthought — it's part of the product. Our public docs are where users onboard, troubleshoot, and decide whether Finout is working for them. Great docs make our product feel great. Bad docs make it feel broken.

That's why we're hiring a sharp, AI-enthusiastic technical writer and content creator to own how we produce, automate, and scale our documentation and content. You'll sit at the intersection of technical writing, product marketing, and AI automation - managing our knowledge base, building AI-powered workflows, and partnering with PMM to produce high-quality content at scale. If the idea of using AI to 10x a content team's output without sacrificing quality excites you, keep reading.

Responsibilities:

What You'll Do

Documentation & Knowledge Base

  • Own and maintain Finout's documentation - ensuring it is accurate, well-structured, and always up to date

  • Write and edit technical documentation including product guides, release notes, API references, onboarding materials, and FAQs

  • Build a scalable documentation system that can grow with our product and team

  • Work closely with Product and Engineering to translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible content

AI Automation & Workflow

  • Design and implement AI-powered workflows to automate repetitive documentation and content tasks

  • Use tools like LLMs, AI writing assistants, and automation platforms to accelerate content production

  • Build prompt libraries, content templates, and AI-assisted review processes that maintain brand quality

  • Identify new opportunities to use AI to improve content accuracy, consistency, and speed

Content Creation for PMM

  • Partner with the Product Marketing team to create content, including blog posts, case studies, landing page copy, product one-pagers, and email sequences

  • Help maintain Finout's brand voice across all content types — from technical docs to marketing material

  • Support campaign launches with well-written, technically accurate content that speaks to both technical and business audiences

Requirements:

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in technical writing, content management, or a closely related role

  • Proven track record of using AI to scale content operations, including prompt engineering, building reusable prompt libraries, integrating LLMs into documentation or content workflows, and measuring the quality and throughput gains. Familiarity with tools like Claude, GPT, Cursor, n8n, Zapier, or custom GPTs/Claude Projects is expected.

  • Strong writing and editing skills - you can make complex technical topics easy to understand

  • Experience managing or contributing to a knowledge base or documentation platform (e.g. GitBook)

  • Highly organised, self-directed, and comfortable owning projects end-to-end

Our Values

We're a hybrid company with a big vision and a startup soul. If you’re excited to help shape the future of cloud infrastructure and join a team that cares deeply about what (and how) we build—we’d love to meet you.

Company Information

Company Name: Finout

Company Address: HaMasger St 35, Tel Aviv-Yafo, 6721706, Israel

Finout is a technology company that provides a cloud cost observability and allocation platform designed to help engineering, DevOps and finance teams understand, allocate, forecast and optimize cloud and SaaS spending across multi-cloud and hybrid environments. The company’s product is positioned as a SaaS-based cost intelligence layer that collects billing and telemetry data from public cloud providers, managed services, and third-party SaaS vendors, normalizes and enriches that data, and presents it through a combination of dashboards, reports, APIs and integrations to enable accurate cost allocation, budgeting, forecasting and chargeback/showback workflows. Core business activities Finout’s core business activity is delivering a commercial, hosted software service that automates the end-to-end process of ingesting cost and usage data, mapping costs to engineering entities (teams, projects, services, features), and producing actionable insights for cost ownership and optimization. Key capabilities typically emphasized by the company include multi-cloud cost aggregation (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure and other cloud bill sources), fine-grained cost allocation without relying solely on tagging, automated mapping of cloud resources to business or engineering constructs, and a set of built-in and customizable reporting views for cross-team transparency. The platform is designed to serve both technical stakeholders (engineers, SREs, DevOps) who need immediate cost context inside development and CI/CD workflows, and financial or business stakeholders who need summarized views for budgeting, forecasting and chargeback. Main products and services Finout’s principal offering is its cloud cost management platform delivered as a hosted SaaS product. Core product capabilities and services commonly provided include: - Data ingestion and connectors: Managed connectors that pull billing, usage and telemetry from cloud provider billing APIs, billing files, managed services and common SaaS vendors. Connectors are intended to centralize multi-source cost data into a unified cost model. - Cost normalization and enrichment: Automatic normalization of costs across providers, currency handling, and enrichment to map costs from raw cloud line items to engineering or business entities. The platform emphasizes mapping costs to teams, services, environments (prod/staging) and Git repositories or CI jobs when available. - Allocation and attribution: Flexible allocation logic to attribute shared or untagged costs to owners, including rules-based and heuristic allocation methods, enabling both showback and chargeback workflows without requiring universal tagging. - Observability-style cost analytics: Time-series and event-based cost analytics, including cost per feature, cost per service and cost trends; anomaly detection and alerting to surface unexpected spending; and near-real-time cost visibility for collaboration with engineering toolchains. - Forecasting and budgeting: Forecasting models and budget controls that help teams predict upcoming spend and set budget limits or alerts; tools for what-if analysis when planning infrastructure changes. - Reporting, dashboards and API: Pre-built and customizable dashboards for different stakeholder roles, automated reports for finance or leadership, and programmatic APIs and exports for integration into internal reporting systems and data warehouses. - Integrations and ecosystem: Integration with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure), container and orchestration platforms, CI/CD systems, and observability/monitoring tools to provide contextualized cost visibility alongside performance and usage metrics. Target users and value proposition Finout targets engineering organizations, FinOps practitioners and cloud engineering teams that need precise cost ownership, faster root-cause analysis of cost spikes, and accurate allocation for internal chargeback or budgeting. The platform’s value proposition includes reducing manual effort required to reconcile cloud bills, improving granularity of cost ownership so teams can act on cloud waste, enabling faster detection of anomalous spend, and providing finance teams with trustworthy allocations and forecasts. By exposing cost data in formats and integrations familiar to engineers (dashboards, APIs, enriched billing items), the product aims to foster collaboration between engineering and finance on cost optimization. Deployment and business model As a cloud-delivered SaaS product, Finout generally offers hosted deployment with connectors to customer cloud and billing sources; options for enterprise-level data retention, role-based access controls and single sign-on are commonly part of the offering. The company monetizes through subscription pricing tiers based on features, scale of usage or volume of supported billing sources, and typically provides evaluation trials and onboarding assistance to new customers. Professional services such as implementation support, custom allocation logic and enterprise integrations are commonly offered to help larger customers accelerate deployment and align platform outputs with internal accounting and FinOps practices. Compliance, security and extensibility Finout places emphasis on secure handling of billing and telemetry data through encrypted data flows between customer cloud accounts and the hosted service, role-based access controls, and support for enterprise authentication mechanisms. The platform exposes APIs and export capabilities to allow customers to push enriched cost data into existing data warehouses, BI systems or internal reporting pipelines, enabling integration into established financial controls and governance workflows. In summary, Finout is a focused cloud cost observability and allocation vendor that combines automated ingestion and normalization of multi-cloud billing data with allocation logic, analytics and integrations intended to give engineering and finance teams a shared, actionable view of cloud and SaaS spend. The company’s products are used to improve cost ownership, reduce waste, enable accurate chargeback/showback and support forecasting and budgeting activities across modern cloud environments.
