Job Description

We're looking for a Full-Stack AI Engineer who builds production AI systems using Claude Code as a primary development tool. This role is for someone who combines strong full-stack engineering fundamentals with hands-on experience shipping AI-powered products, automations, and intelligent workflows into real environments.

Claude Code is not optional here. You use it daily, you know how to get the most out of it, and it makes you meaningfully faster and better than engineers who do not. On top of that, you can design and build across the full stack, from backend services and APIs to frontend interfaces and AI integration layers, and you take ownership of systems end to end without needing close direction.

If you build full-stack AI systems, ship automations that actually run in production, and use Claude Code as a core part of how you engineer, this role is built for you.

Why You'll Want to Join

  • You will be paid in USD (bi-monthly: every 15th and 30th)
  • Paid Time Off in accordance with company policy
  • Observance of Holidays per company guidelines
  • 100% remote setup so you can work wherever you're most productive
  • High-ownership engineering role with direct impact on product and AI infrastructure
  • Opportunity to design and ship AI-powered systems from the ground up
  • Direct collaboration with product and engineering leadership

What You'll Work On

Claude Code and AI-Assisted Development

  • Use Claude Code as your primary development tool for writing, refactoring, debugging, and shipping production code
  • Leverage Claude Code to accelerate full-stack development without sacrificing quality or maintainability
  • Build editor utilities, automation scripts, and internal tooling using Claude Code workflows
  • Continuously push the limits of what Claude Code enables across the stack

Full-Stack AI System Development

  • Design and build full-stack AI systems including automations, intelligent workflows, AI agents, and LLM-integrated products
  • Integrate AI services, LLMs, and automation layers into both backend and frontend systems
  • Build guardrails, monitoring, and fallback mechanisms that keep AI systems reliable in production
  • Optimize prompt architecture, model usage, and system performance across live environments

Backend and API Architecture

  • Design and build scalable backend services, APIs, and data models that power AI features
  • Architect clean service layers connecting AI components with application logic
  • Ensure performance, security, and long-term maintainability across the full stack

Frontend and Product Integration

  • Develop and maintain frontend features and user-facing interfaces connected to AI systems
  • Collaborate with product and design to translate requirements into robust, shippable systems
  • Own features from initial architecture through deployment and iteration

Engineering Standards and Scalability

  • Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code that holds up at scale
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, observability, and deployment workflows
  • Identify bottlenecks and propose automation or architectural improvements proactively

What You Bring

  • 4+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong full-stack background
  • Claude Code fluency: you use it daily in production and it is a core part of how you engineer
  • Demonstrated experience building and shipping full-stack AI systems in production including automations, AI agents, or LLM-integrated workflows
  • Strong system design fundamentals including APIs, databases, and distributed systems
  • Product-oriented mindset with strong ownership and the ability to execute without heavy oversight
  • Full availability during US business hours

Preferred but not strictly required:

  • Experience with TypeScript, Python, or similar backend technologies
  • Experience with modern frontend frameworks
  • Exposure to cloud infrastructure such as AWS or GCP
  • Experience with embeddings, vector databases, or retrieval systems

Nice to Have

  • Experience building AI copilots, autonomous agents, or AI-assisted developer tooling
  • Familiarity with workflow automation platforms such as n8n, Make, or similar
  • Experience with Replit for collaborative or cloud-based development workflows
  • Exposure to DevOps or infrastructure-as-code practices
  • Experience building internal automation tools that reduce manual overhead at scale

How to Apply

Please include:

  1. Your updated resume
  2. A short Loom video (1 to 2 minutes) walking through a full-stack AI system you built in production, how you used Claude Code throughout the development process, and what the system actually does

Only candidates who submit a Loom video will be moved to the next step of the hiring process.

If you build full-stack AI systems that run in production, use Claude Code to ship faster and better, and want ownership over intelligent infrastructure that actually matters, this role gives you the technical depth and the autonomy to do your best work.

Company Address: Kochi, Kerala, India

Hire Overseas is a technology-enabled talent acquisition company that operates a digital platform to help employers find, hire, and onboard vetted international and remote technical professionals. The company positions itself at the intersection of recruiting, HR technology, and global employment compliance, providing tools and services that streamline cross-border hiring processes for engineering, product, design, and operations teams. Hire Overseas combines candidate sourcing and screening with automation for offer management, onboarding workflows, payroll and tax compliance assistance, and employer-of-record (EOR) or contractor management options to reduce the operational and legal friction of employing people in jurisdictions outside a client company’s home country. Company overview and mission Hire Overseas describes its mission as simplifying global hiring for technology companies and engineering teams that need to scale quickly with distributed talent. The platform is built to address common pain points faced by companies expanding internationally or hiring remote talent: locating qualified candidates with the right technical background, performing consistent technical and cultural screening, making compliant offers across legal jurisdictions, and managing payroll, benefits, and statutory tax obligations in countries where the hiring company may not have a legal entity. The company targets startups, scale-ups, and mid-market technology firms that are recruiting software engineers, data scientists, product managers, UX designers, and other knowledge workers. Core business activities Hire Overseas operates a multi-component service model combining software, recruitment services, and global employment services: - Candidate sourcing and talent marketplace: The platform aggregates candidate profiles and uses a combination of in-house sourcing, partner networks, and candidate referrals to present employers with matched international candidates. Search filters and matching algorithms allow hiring teams to prioritize skills, experience level, timezone compatibility, language ability, and desired employment model (full-time, contractor, or part-time). - Screening and assessment: The company offers structured screening workflows that include resume parsing, technical assessments, coding challenges or take-home assignments, and live interview scheduling. Screening is designed to be repeatable and configurable so teams can standardize evaluation criteria across distributed hires. - Applicant tracking and interview management: Built-in applicant tracking functionality supports collaborative hiring, enabling interview feedback collection, scorecards, and pipeline management. Integrations with commonly used collaboration and calendar tools are provided to streamline scheduling and cross-team communication. - Offer, onboarding and compliance automation: Hire Overseas automates local offer generation and onboarding paperwork, adapting employment contracts and contractor agreements to local labor regulations and minimum statutory requirements when possible. The platform helps manage required documentation, background checks, tax forms, and benefits enrollment when supported. - Payroll, benefits and Employer-of-Record (EOR) services: For clients without local entities, Hire Overseas either partners with or operates EOR and payroll services to legally employ workers on behalf of the client. These services include payroll processing, statutory tax withholding, social security contributions where applicable, and local benefits administration. Contractor payment options are also supported for engagements that don’t require full employment. - Professional services and account support: To complement software capabilities, the company provides account management, recruitment specialists, and legal or compliance consulting for complex or regulated hires. Clients can opt for full recruitment-as-a-service (RaaS) engagements where Hire Overseas sources candidates end-to-end and handles the entire hire-to-pay lifecycle. Main products and services Hire Overseas’ product offering is a combination of a SaaS platform and managed services intended for global hiring at scale. Key offerings typically include: - Global talent marketplace: access to a pool of pre-screened international candidates with advanced search and matching capabilities. - Hiring automation platform: applicant tracking, interview scheduling, candidate evaluation, and offer letter generation tuned for cross-border employment. - Compliance and employment solutions: localized contract templates, onboarding checklists, background check coordination, and guidance on local labor rules. - Payroll and EOR solutions: pay and benefits administration, tax withholding and reporting, contractor payment services, and optionally full-service EOR to allow legal employment without a local entity. - Advisory and managed recruitment: dedicated recruiting teams, sourcing campaigns, and employer branding support for companies targeting specific regions or technical skill sets. Target customers, industry and positioning Hire Overseas primarily serves technology companies — from early-stage startups to established tech firms — that need to hire engineers and product talent internationally or create distributed teams. The platform is relevant to companies expanding into new markets, those seeking to tap talent markets with lower cost-of-hire, and organizations prioritizing speed-to-hire for technical roles. Industry positioning emphasizes compliance-first global employment and the integration of recruitment workflows with payroll and HR processes to deliver an end-to-end solution. Technology and integrations The platform emphasizes workflow automation and integrations to reduce manual administrative work during hiring. Typical integrations include ATS and HRIS systems, calendar and video-conferencing tools, background-check providers, and payroll/EOR partners. Security and data protection practices are highlighted for handling candidate and payroll data; for enterprise clients, the company provides contractual and technical controls to meet privacy and regulatory requirements. Verification and public presence Hire Overseas presents itself as a technology-enabled HR/talent platform focused on global hiring for technical roles. Its public materials and product descriptions highlight the combination of software and managed services — candidate sourcing, screening, compliance, and payroll/EOR — designed to let technology companies hire and pay people overseas without establishing local legal entities. Exact features, pricing, and country coverage vary over time and by client needs; prospective customers are typically encouraged to consult the company for country-specific compliance details and tailored service agreements.
