Job Description

Supply Chain Planner

Apply for this job

At 2Connect, as a Supply Chain Planner, you play a central role in keeping the supply chain running smoothly and further developing it. You are responsible for the planning and coordination of your own portfolio, and you contribute to improvement projects related to supply chain processes.

You operate at the heart of the chain and communicate daily with clients, production (mainly Romania), procurement, and internal stakeholders. You ensure the availability of materials, align planning, and oversee deliveries according to agreements.

The role is operational in nature but distinctly requires analytical skills and ownership. By working with data, identifying deviations, and recognizing patterns, you actively contribute to process improvement. In practice, this means you not only manage day-to-day operations but also build insight into trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for structural enhancements.

  • Monitoring material availability ("clear to build") and timely intervention in case of bottlenecks

  • Coordinating order books, forecasts, and deliveries with clients and internal stakeholders

  • Processing and checking planning data in the ERP system (including Exact)

  • Executing and interpreting MRP planning and translating this into concrete actions

  • Analyzing delivery, order, and product data to make deviations and trends visible

  • Using dashboards (for example, in Power BI) to monitor performance and improvement opportunities

  • Detecting disruptions in the chain and proactively initiating solutions

  • Contributing to improvement projects, for example, focused on forecasting, inventory optimization, and planning processes

Who are you?

You combine an analytical approach with a practical mindset. You are able to grasp operational issues, but you also look beyond daily execution. By asking questions and spotting connections, you recognize where processes can be improved and take the initiative to set this in motion. You identify with the following profile:

  • Academic-level working and thinking ability, preferably in supply chain, technical business administration or a similar field

  • Graduate or a few years' experience within a supply chain or logistics environment

  • Affinity with data and the ability to translate analyses into concrete actions; experience with BI or AI tools is an advantage

  • Structured way of working and the ability to maintain overview in a dynamic context

  • Strong communication skills and comfortable interacting with various stakeholders, including internationally

  • Experience with Excel and ERP systems, or the ability to master these quickly

  • Ownership, initiative, and the drive to improve every day

2Connect is a technology company focused on providing connectivity, integration and software platform solutions that enable devices, applications and enterprises to communicate and exchange data securely at scale. The company positions itself as a specialist in networked systems and developer-focused services, combining cloud-native platforms, application programming interfaces (APIs), device management and professional services to help customers deploy, manage and monetize connected solutions. 2Connect’s offerings are typically used by enterprises, systems integrators and technology partners in sectors such as Internet of Things (IoT), telecommunications, logistics, smart buildings and industrial automation. Core business activities - Connectivity Platforms and SIM/Connectivity Management: 2Connect develops and operates platforms that centralize the provisioning, activation and lifecycle management of connectivity for cellular (e.g., 2G/3G/4G/5G) and other wide-area network technologies. These platforms are intended to simplify multi-network connectivity, usage monitoring and billing for large device fleets, giving customers a single pane of glass for managing data plans, usage thresholds and partner network relationships. - Device and Fleet Management: The company provides device management capabilities that allow remote provisioning, configuration, firmware updates and health monitoring for distributed hardware. These capabilities are designed to reduce on-site maintenance, accelerate rollouts, and ensure devices remain secure and compliant with operational policies. - Cloud and Edge Integration: 2Connect offers cloud-native integration services that bridge device-generated data with enterprise IT systems and analytics platforms. Services include secure data ingestion, message routing, normalization, and connectors to common cloud providers, data lakes and enterprise resource planning (ERP) or customer relationship management (CRM) systems. - APIs and Developer Tools: A suite of RESTful APIs, SDKs and developer portals enables engineering teams to integrate connectivity and device management functions directly into their applications. Documentation, sandbox environments and developer support are commonly provided to accelerate proof-of-concept efforts and production deployments. - Managed Services and Professional Services: For customers needing deeper integration or operational support, 2Connect delivers managed services including solution design, pilot programs, deployment assistance, custom integration, and ongoing operations support. Professional services teams often help with systems architecture, security assessments, certification testing and supply-chain coordination for hardware and SIM procurement. Main products and services - 2Connect Connectivity Platform (connectivity management solution): A centralized platform for ordering and managing connectivity services across multiple mobile network operators and regions. Typical features include SIM lifecycle management, real-time usage monitoring, roaming controls, quota management, billing reconciliation and automation tools for large-scale deployments. - Device Management Suite: Tools for remote configuration, over-the-air firmware management, diagnostics, and secure key provisioning. The suite is aimed at customers deploying distributed IoT and M2M (machine-to-machine) solutions where uptime and secure updates are critical. - Integration Hub and Connectors: Middleware products and pre-built connectors that integrate device telemetry into cloud analytics, IoT platforms, and enterprise systems. These components reduce integration time and simplify data normalization across diverse hardware and protocols. - APIs and Developer Portal: Public and private APIs for programmatic control over connectivity and device lifecycle events, along with SDKs and sample code for common platforms. The developer ecosystem is intended to lower barriers to entry for product teams and independent developers working with connected devices. - Consulting and Managed Operations: End-to-end project services from initial feasibility studies and pilot deployments to full production rollouts and managed operations. Offerings commonly include security reviews, certification testing support, supply chain coordination for SIMs and devices, and 24/7 operational support options for mission-critical applications. Industry focus and use cases 2Connect’s capabilities are applicable across multiple industry verticals where reliable, scalable connectivity and device orchestration are required. Representative use cases include remote asset monitoring for logistics and transport fleets, smart meter and utility telemetry, remote healthcare devices and wearables, smart building controls (HVAC, lighting, access), industrial automation and predictive maintenance, and retail point-of-sale terminals. The company’s tools help reduce integration complexity, enable secure device communications, and provide operational visibility required for large-scale IoT deployments. Security and compliance As a provider managing device credentials and connectivity, 2Connect emphasizes security features such as encrypted communications, secure SIM provisioning, role-based access controls, audit logging and compliance support for data privacy and regional telecommunications regulations. Security and lifecycle management practices are typically highlighted to reassure enterprise customers that devices and data streams remain protected throughout deployment and operation. Partnerships and ecosystem 2Connect commonly partners with mobile network operators, hardware manufacturers, cloud providers and systems integrators to deliver end-to-end solutions. These partnerships allow the company to offer flexible connectivity options across geographies, pre-integrated hardware stacks, and joint go-to-market offerings that combine device, connectivity and application-layer capabilities. Customer support and delivery model Customers can engage with 2Connect through self-service portals for smaller deployments and developer experimentation, or through white-glove managed engagements for large-scale, regulated or mission-critical rollouts. The company typically provides tiered support plans, service-level agreements (SLAs), and professional services packages to ensure customers achieve desired outcomes on schedules and budgets. Summary In summary, 2Connect is a technology-focused provider of connectivity management, device orchestration and integration services targeted at organizations deploying connected devices and IoT solutions. Its platform and services aim to simplify the complexity of multi-network connectivity, secure device lifecycle management, and integration of device data into enterprise systems, enabling customers to scale and operate connected products more efficiently.
